Anderson First Students is meeting on September 27th for youth group. AFS is for people in 6th-12th grade to find a place to learn, serve, and have fun together. We currently worship and serve together on Sundays at 10, and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 11:15-1:15, we gather in the Youth room. During our time together, we play games and use Nua curriculum to lead discussions about the Bible and how it applies to our lives.

Do- Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti- Do.... you know that the Kids Choir is BACK on September 20th!?

Everyone from 3 years old to 6th grade is invited to join our Kids Choir!

Choir Details:
When: Sunday mornings, 9:25 to 9:55 AM
Where: Upstairs in the Choir room

Come for a fun time filled with singing, musical games, and worship. We’ll have several performances throughout the year.

If your kiddo is excited to join, just swing by the Kids check-in on Sunday mornings. We’ll take them to the Choir room and bring them back to their classrooms after rehearsal.

Our Blessing Bag SOS event was a success and we are grateful for a chance to offer some extra encouragement to our Community Grill guests! Thanks for helping us close out another incredible Summer or Serving at Anderson First UMC. 💙

On September 13th, we will be BACK at our downtown location and celebrating a huge milestone in our church. Worship in the downtown sanctuary at 10 a.m. begins our celebration.
Full Sanctuary Choir, Brass Ensemble, Scripture, Prayers, and More will fill our hour, which is immediately followed by an all-church catered meal in Fellowship Hall. “Open Houses” for the renovated gym, new classrooms, Outreach Ministries, Historical Displays, Inflatables, Activities, and a Scavenger Hunt with a reward all fill the remainder of the afternoon. Let’s honor our past, celebrate our present, and look ahead to a future full of faith and community service.
We can’t wait to celebrate this incredible milestone with you!

We had a BLAST at the Anderson Gaslight Festival! Thank you to all of our volunteers and the hundreds of people who stopped at our booth. We loved getting to be with our incredible community and invite people to our big 200th Anniversary celebration on September 13th.

Starting on September 9th, 6th-12th Graders are invited to join us every Wednesday evening for AFS Midweek! We’ll gather in the youth room to tackle homework, enjoy games, and foster community. Students involved in the Music Ministry can attend their scheduled rehearsal times. We look forward to hanging out with you and all our amazing students!

Get ready because Return Sunday is almost here! Anderson First Kids will be back in full swing, and we want you to join us at the downtown Anderson location at 10 AM on September 13th. It's going to be an exciting day, especially since it is also Promotion Sunday! That means the kids and students will be moving up to new classes.

Here’s the scoop on transitions:

If your little one was in the Toddler room, has turned three, and is bathroom independent, they’ll be moving downstairs to the Preschool classroom in the Kids Ministry Hallway.

Got a kiddo going into Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd Grade? They'll be in the Younger Kids classroom in the Kids Ministry Hallway.

All kids in 3rd-5th Grade will join our congregation for Family Worship on the first Sunday of every month and will gather in the Fireplace Room for First Kids fun every Sunday after that.

And for those entering 6th Grade, welcome to the Student Ministry! They'll be joining us for worship on Sunday mornings, with Youth Group happening on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 11:15am, and AFS Midweek every Wednesday from 6-8pm.

We can't wait to celebrate with you and your family on September 13th!

Due to ongoing standing water at Davis Park, we have made the decision to move Sunday worship to our Downtown location.
