Capstone family, last night, Pastor David’s mother peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior and was reunited with loved ones who had gone before her. What a beautiful reminder of the hope we have in Christ — She is Home.

Please keep Pastor David and the Barfield family close in prayer over the coming days. We know many of you love them deeply, and your prayers, encouragement, and support mean so much during this time.

While Pastor David is spending time with his family, our Capstone staff is here for you and ready to help in any way we can.

Mark your calendars to join us for our Outdoor Worship & Church Picnic on Sunday, May 24th. The church will be providing the main meal of chicken tenders, beans, chips, and drinks.

We're asking that families whose last names begin with A-M please bring a salad or side dish. If your last name begins with N-Z, please bring fruit or a dessert.

We returned on Wednesday from a short trip back to Cuba.

Thank you to all who donated the rechargeable flashlights and lanterns. These have become an essential resource, especially those that can be charged using solar power. Eduardo shared with us that there are times when there are 2 hours of electricity during the day and 2 hours at night. This makes daily life so much more challenging.

During the trip, time was spent with a growing house church in Cojímar, where a committed couple is reaching children in their community. We walked through the neighborhood, visited homes, offered prayer, and helped where needs were evident. In just a few days, 19 people made the decision to follow Christ. Please continue to pray for this new ministry!

There were meaningful moments of connection as well, including teaching a few individuals—some for the first time—how to fish using equipment that was left behind for them to continue using.

Even in the middle of hardship, the faith and perseverance seen in Cuba continue to be deeply encouraging.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for the work that Eduarto and his team are doing there, not just in their immediate community but across Cuba.
