The Holy Spirit, through the book of James, tells us to asks for wisdom.

There is never a time when we should stop asking for wisdom!

As the page turns and the room grows still, bring the small decisions to the Father.

Father, I confess how quickly I lean on my own certainty. When I do not know what to choose, quiet my anxious thoughts and teach me to receive wisdom from You. Lord, make me willing to pause, listen, and obey: not to control every outcome, but to trust Your faithful care in the next step.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” : James 1:5

Today, before one ordinary decision, take a quiet breath and ask God for wisdom; then move forward without forcing an answer.

What decision are you placing before the Lord today?

Truly we’ve seen God move in mighty ways this week and today. There’s one more picture coming - I’ll add it when it arrives.

It’s been our practice, since being in children’s ministry over 40 years, not to give public invitations. Rather, we ask children who have heard the gospel to find one of our team leaders during play time, crafts, or snacks to discuss what God has put on their heart. Why? We don’t want a “herd reaction” to happen. We want children who are willing to seek the Lord - even when it cost them from the beginning.

Praise the Lord for his abundant goodness and great salvation.

Praise the Lord for children, whose heart is to walk in obedience.

Praise the Lord for parents who support a life of growth in the body of believers!

And all God’s people shout - AMEN! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

We had two teams of worship leaders. Tucker and Hartley started the whole time but Avy couldn’t be there all the time so Mason stepped up to help!

Joshua, who had just had major surgery on his brain, volunteered to sit in one of the end chairs during a game of pool noodle volleyball. Thankfully, Mrs Colleen saw it and stood over him the entire time covering his head.

VBS 2026 Jesus: the Light of Life.
For over a year God has been moving on our hearts to build this years curriculum around John 8:12. He opened the word and brought to mind four messages. The week before VBS there was a nudging to move lessons around just a little bit.

It’s been a God- honoring, wonderful week of sharing the life of Christ with our children and adults.

The greatest blessing was to hear two express their sure salvation in Christ and desire to be baptized.

This has never been about our planning or the size of the crowd, but walking in obedience to his word, giving ALL glory to him. We’ve loved meeting every family, we’re thankful and blessed by an abundant team of servant leaders.

God’s been so very good!

Let’s go shine his light in the world around us!
