We’ve had a couple of families who like to keep their children with them during the 10:30am worship service. As a church we are 100% okay with that and any child noises that comes along with it.

We do have nursery, preschool, and children’s church available during that time as well. However, we wanted to offer an activity box for those who choose to stay in the main service.

There’s an empty notebook, stickers, a stamper, a coloring book, crayons, and I’m going to put a welcome letter in there with upcoming activities.

They’ll be available for children ages 2-5 (older children, please do not take these). You’ll find boxes under the white table in the back of the sanctuary.

Families can take the boxes home with them after church.

We’re about a month out from VBS 😳. We’ve been blessed abundantly with volunteers.

However, unlike in the movie “ The Field of Dreams”, we can’t just build it and wait for them to come.

Prayer will always be the foundation of anything that brings glory to God.

Psalms 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Let’s pray that God will use us for his glory and purposes in all that we do!

This year we’ve been studying Christ in the Old Testament as connected to the New Testament.

Here’s the question (don’t answer it on this page):
Where is the first Old Testament prophecy found regarding Jesus and Satan?

Everyone who remembers gets to choose a doughnut first!

Hint: the numbers sound close to John 3:16 but the verse we’re looking for is waaaaay back in the beginning of the Old Testament.

We didn’t capture any of our sweet nursery babies, but it was a wonderful day to worship our risen Savior!!

Oh my… it’s the first day of spring! 🌷
The flowers are blooming, the sunshine is shining, and my heart is feeling simply grateful. What a lovely reminder that new beginnings are always possible.

Even with so much sickness going around we had a wonderful group to celebrate our pj party tonight and practice for Sunday’s candlelight service.

Eight more sleeps until Christmas!

We had the cutest group of carolers last night. Several had never been before. Some were ready for bed about half way through, but what a treat it was to watch them gain confidence as we went.

We had a family of a just born-again mom go with us. It was a precious time getting to know her and her children.

We didn’t capture any photos of our adult group that went out but they too came back with praise reports.

The best thing about caroling is watching the faces of those we’re caroling to and hearing the children. The sweetness of those moments and the twinkle in the eyes of shut-ins and folks who have been sick are worth a night out in the cold.

One of these photos has been tweaked in Photoshop. It’s easy to find 😉.

Parents, you have a wonderful opportunity before you to take your children, chapter by chapter, through the book of Luke starting tomorrow.

You don’t have to be a Greek scholar or deep Bible teacher - just stay one or two steps ahead of them. You read the chapter the day before you’re going to share it with your children. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you truths or a truth that is age appropriate for your children. Pray for their understanding and stay faithful.

Luke 1:
Two women - chosen by God for the miraculous. Because God doesn’t just use the mighty, the influencers, he uses whomever he chooses - even us!

One man - a faithful priest who encounters an angel. In the presence of this mighty creation of God, he gives way to doubt. How often do we doubt when we’ve been given the full account of scripture to teach and to guide?

The Angel - his first instruction to Zacharias and Mary was, “Don’t be afraid”. This was no feminine/baby with wings fluttering around giving out prophecies. No, this was a God created mighty messenger sent to bear news of the fulfillment of God’s promise to us in Genesis 3:15.

From the beginning of scripture to the opening of the book of Luke God has been faithful to his word. The Savior is coming to earth…and his name shall be called Jesus.

Don’t wait or think it’s unimportant. There is a battle for eternity in the heart of each child.
