Knights of Columbus 12290

Knights of Columbus 12290 Council 12290 is located at St. Benedict Parish in Anchorage Alaska. Our St. Benedict's Council #12290 was founded in 1998

Our primary mission is to serve our parish and local community through selfless acts of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in the United States in 1882, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus. There are more than 1.8 million members in 15,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to "practical Catholic" men aged 18 or older. Councils have been chartered in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Guatemala, Panama, Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Guam, Spain, Japan, Cuba, and most recently in Poland. The Knights' official junior organization, the Columbian Squires, has over 5,000 Circles. All the Order's ceremonials and business meetings are restricted to members, though all other events are open to the public.

🩸 O DONORS — YOUR BLOOD IS CRITICALLY NEEDED!

Our supply of Type O blood is critically low, and we need O donors to help replenish the shelves for Alaska patients.

Type O red blood cells are especially important in emergencies, when there may not be time to determine a patient’s blood type. From trauma and emergency care to surgeries and other lifesaving treatments, hospitals depend on having blood available when it’s needed.

❤️ If you’re O+ or O-, please donate today.

Your donation can make an immediate difference for an Alaska patient.

📞 Call 907-222-5630 to schedule your appointment.

Families need saints praying with them. The miracle that led to Blessed Michael McGivney’s beatification involved an unborn child whose family entrusted him completely to Father McGivney’s prayers. That child, Michael “Mikey” Schachle, was born healthy after a healing recognized by the Church as miraculous.

Today, countless families continue asking his intercession.

What would you like prayers for? Visit fathermcgivney.org to submit your intentions and become a member of the Blessed Michael McGivney Guild.
