Deacon Andrew Black’s Seed of Encouragement

God cares about EVERYTHING that concerns us... even the little things that may cause us anxiety and fear. God will supply the power, the peace and the provision for every need. Our part is to have faith in God's ability, His faithfulness and His promise to provide just what we need, right when we need it.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:8

Deacon Andrew Black’s Seed of Encouragement

Storms of life will come up suddenly, but no matter what way the storm winds may blow we must trust that God is in control. We may get tossed about and feel overwhelmed by certain situations, but don't worry or fret because God will make sure we get to the place He wants us to be. What was meant to cause us to breakdown, God will use to strengthen our faith and trust in Him and to make us better!

Suddenly a strong wind blew up, and the waves began to spill over into the boat, so that it was about to fill with water. Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, “Be quiet!” and he said to the waves, “Be still!” The wind died down, and there was a great calm. Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭37‬, ‭39‬

Sometimes it can be difficult for us to patiently wait on God to act on our behalf and answer our prayers when we want change to happen immediately. We have to trust the process and believe that God knows what is best for us. Have faith that when the time is right.. because His time is always on time… the Lord will fulfill His promises.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:8-9‬

🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 🌟

At Carter’s Chapel Church of the Living God, we believe in celebrating the faithful men and women who help make our church family strong. This week, we proudly shine the spotlight on Deacon Sylvester Young, a dedicated servant, gifted teacher, and valued member within our congregation. He is married to Sister Belle Young.

We are grateful for his commitment to Christian education, his service on the Board of Deacons, and his unwavering dedication to the Kingdom of God. Thank you, Deacon Young, for faithfully allowing your steps to be ordered by the Lord and for being an example to us all.

As we continue this special Member Spotlight series, we invite you to stay tuned! We love celebrating the amazing members of our congregation and sharing the stories of those who worship, serve, and grow alongside us each Sunday.

You never know who will be featured next!

Our goal is simple: we want you to know who you’re worshipping with each Sunday and to honor the faithful servants who help make Carter’s Chapel CLG the loving church family it is.

Join us in congratulating Deacon Sylvester Young!

2026 Father’s Day at Carter’s Chapel CLG

What a wonderful day of worship, fellowship, and celebration as we honored the fathers and father figures who have impacted our lives through their faith, love, wisdom, and example.

As we reflect on today’s service, we are sharing a few random moments captured throughout the day. Each picture represents the joy, unity, and spirit of gratitude that filled the house as we celebrated God’s blessings and the gift of fatherhood.

A special thank you to our speakers:
Elder James O. Howell, Senior Pastor, Deacon George Brownlee and Brother Sean Parson, for their encouraging words and heartfelt messages. Also, Deacon William Earl Pruitt sharing “The Importance of a Father.” We also thank every member, visitor, and friend who joined us in making this Father’s Day celebration memorable.

May God continue to strengthen, guide, and bless all fathers as they walk in integrity and leave a legacy of faith for generations to come.

Happy Father’s Day from the Carter’s Chapel Church Family!
