On the authority of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) took hold of my shoulder and said: "Be in this life like a stranger or a wayfarer."
Ibn 'Umar used to say: "When you reach the evening, do not expect to see the morning.
When you reach the morning, do not expect to see nightfall. Take from your good health for your illness, and from your life for your death." (Al-Bukhaaree collected it.)
