In case you missed it, last week's Lumen Media featured an article about the recent mission trip to Guatemala that our clergy and students took part in.

🎥As a reminder, the film American Martyr: The Stanley Rother Story, which tells the story of an American priest martyred in Guatemala, will be playing at State 5 Theater in Algona this week on the following days:

Ten parishioners from Divine Mercy Parish in the Diocese of Sioux City took part in a mission trip to Guatemala Aug. 3-10 for a week of service, cultural immersion and spiritual growth. The funeral Mass for Fr. Paul Bormann will be on Monday, August 24th at 10:30am at St. Cecelia.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Bormann. 🙏🏻

Diocesan priest Father Paul Bormann died Aug. 17 in Guttenberg at the age of 67. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 23 at St. Cecelia Church in Algona from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Aug. 24 at St. Cecelia Church in Algona at 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be livestreamed on the Divine Mercy Parish YouTube channel.

Please keep Father Bormann and his family in your prayers. May perpetual light shine upon him, O Lord and may he rest in peace.

📝Last week's edition of Lumen Media featured an article about our upcoming Eucharistic Procession at Sts. Peter & Paul, scheduled for September 20th in celebration of the Christ Our Life conference.

Divine Mercy Parish and the Grotto of the Redemption are representing the Diocese of Sioux City as part of a statewide Iowan Eucharistic Procession event that will culminate at the Sept. 26 and 27 Christ Our Life Conference in Des Moines.
