Matthew 23:11 says, The greatest among you will be your servant.” (NRSV)

In a world that often measures greatness by power, success, wealth, or recognition, Jesus offers a completely different definition. According to Christ, greatness is not found in being served—it is found in serving others.

The people who make the biggest difference in our lives are often not the ones in the spotlight. They are the ones who quietly prepare meals, visit the lonely, care for the sick, teach children, encourage a friend, volunteer their time, and lend a helping hand when no one else notices.

Jesus Himself demonstrated this kind of greatness. Though He was Lord of all, He chose to serve. He washed His disciples' feet, welcomed the outcast, healed the hurting, and ultimately gave His life for others.

Every act of kindness, compassion, and humble service reflects the heart of Christ.
Today, look for an opportunity to serve someone—not for recognition, but out of love. In God's kingdom, the path to greatness begins with a servant's heart.

Verse of the Day — Psalm 119:59 “When I think of your ways, I turn my feet to your decrees.” (NRSV)

As we grow older, life gives us many opportunities to reflect. We think about the roads we have traveled, the choices we have made, the joys we have experienced, and even the regrets we may carry. Psalm 119 reminds us that reflection can become a holy moment when it draws us closer to God.

The psalm writer says: “When I think of your ways…” There is wisdom in pausing long enough to ask ourselves: “Am I still walking closely with the Lord?”

Faith is not only about how we began our journey with Christ years ago; it is also about continuing to turn our hearts and lives toward Him today. Even longtime church members need moments of renewal, redirection, and recommitment.

The good news is that God never stops guiding God's people. Through every season of life—through joys, losses, changes, and uncertainties—God’s Word remains steady and trustworthy.

Today, take comfort in this truth: No matter your age or stage of life, it is never too late to turn your feet again toward the peace, wisdom, and grace of God.

John 14:1- Jesus said: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” What is a "troubled heart?" A troubled heart is a heart weighed down by fear, worry, grief, uncertainty, or exhaustion. It is the feeling we carry when life seems out of control, when the future feels unclear, or when pain and disappointment become heavy burdens on your soul.

Jesus' disciples understood troubled hearts. In John 14, Jesus was preparing them for difficult days ahead. They were confused, anxious, and afraid of losing Him.
How did Jesus respond to the disciples fears and worry? Jesus did not scold them for their fears. Instead, He invited them to trust.

A troubled heart is not a sign that we have failed God. It is a reminder that we need God. The good news is this: Jesus meets us right in the middle of our troubled hearts. He offers peace that circumstances cannot destroy and hope that fear cannot erase.

If your heart feels troubled, remember: Christ’s presence is greater than your anxiety, and His peace is stronger than your fear
