As we worship today, let us rejoice together in the celebration of Holy Communion, the Lord’s Supper, remembering his great and everlasting love for us that we might be saved from our sins and have everlasting life.

Today’s message is titled, “Recognition and Remembrance in the Lord’s Supper,” and is based in 1 Corinthians 11:29.

Our prayer is that you come to know the love of the risen and coming-again Christ of Nazareth, receiving and worshiping him as your Savior and Lord, and that you may experience the peace of the abundant life that is found only in the kingdom of God. Jesus came into this world that you might have life and have it more abundantly through him. May you know him as the God who remembers you and extends mercy to all who seek him, and may you receive strength for living through his grace. May God likewise bless you to be an agent of divine peace wherever you go.

This is the first Sunday in the Christian season of Kingdomtide. We recognize and affirm that Christ is King of all creation in heaven and earth, that the kingdoms of the earth are not equal in any way to the kingdom of Christ, and we seek to submit ourselves solely and completely to the authority of God whose kingdom has no end.

This, being the 5th Sunday in the month, is also Missionary Sunday, and today’s message is titled, “The Missionary Call.” It is based in Exodus 3:10.

Our prayer is that you come to know the love of the risen and coming-again Christ of Nazareth, receiving and worshiping him as your Savior and Lord, and that you may experience the peace of the abundant life that is found only in the kingdom of God. Jesus came into this world that you might have life and have it more abundantly through him. May you know him as the God who remembers you and extends mercy to all who seek him, and may you receive strength for living through his grace.
