Good morning family and friends of Owen Chapel. Today's service will not be live-streamed due to a number of multimedia personnel being out with illness. We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring.

If you are in the Alamogordo area and would like to serve on the multimedia team, please give us a call at (575) 434-5819 or by email at [email protected]. This is a paid position as well.

Q: “Why do a backpack giveaway when the school district is already doing one?”

A: “Because it is part of our fabric of ministry in the community. It’s a team effort. You can’t just give a child a couple of notebooks, a few pencils/pens, and a couple of packs of notebook paper and expect them to survive a full year. They need as much of that as they can get their hands on….FOR FREE!!! And while we’re at it, let’s nourish them when they come pick up their backpack….FOR FREE!!!”

When: Saturday, August 2nd @ 3PM
Where: Owen Chapel AMEC, 423 Delaware Ave
