Redeemer Bible Church of the Valley

Redeemer Bible Church of the Valley With a core group of about 30 people, we began meeting together without a pastor or a definite plan.

A Bible-believing community in the Rio Grande Valley committed to being and making disciples who apply the gospel to every area of life by loving God with all our hearts and loving our neighbors as ourselves. In August 2010, after years of praying and longing to see a church established in the mid-Valley, God sovereignly brought together a group of people that shared a vision to love, grow in, and proclaim God's Word. Little by little God drew from among us our leadership, committed members, and a vision for this church. By January 2011, we had the church assessed by the leadership of Heritage Bible Church in Greer, South Carolina. The men came to encourage, confirm, and assess our ministry. They also helped us constitute and formalize Redeemer Bible Church of the Valley. Since being constituted, God has led us to develop a church that puts absolute supremacy on God's truth, on loving one another, and on sharing the Gospel. Because of Jesus Christ rescuing us from our sin and bringing us home to the Father, we long to respond by sharing this great news with others.

Some of the best moments on a Sunday happen after the Bible is opened and before anyone says a word.
We gather to hear from God, then we lean in together, asking questions and encouraging one another along the way.

“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works... not neglecting to meet together.” — Hebrews 10:24–25

Every marriage needs time to slow down, reconnect, and remember why you chose each other. That kind of time rarely shows up on its own. It has to be set apart on purpose.

Couples who have attended FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember talk about leaving with practical tools to love each other more deeply and feeling refreshed together. Now that same weekend is coming to San Antonio, and we’d love to see couples from Redeemer there.

It’s two and a half days of biblical teaching on marriage, honest conversation, and time alone with your spouse. Whether you’ve been married six months or thirty years, whether things feel strong or strained, this is an investment worth making together.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil... And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9, 12

The sermon doesn’t end when the service does. Second Session: where we go deeper, together.

After the message, we sit together and dig deeper — asking questions, wrestling with the text, applying it to real life. This is where the sermon becomes something we actually live out.

Second Session is our time to unpack the sermon a little more — real questions, real life, real community.

This Sunday we sat with a beautiful paradox: we are fully known by God — every flaw and all — and still fully loved. 💛

From 1 Corinthians 13, we were reminded that real transformation doesn’t come from trying harder, but from resting in how completely we’re already loved by Him.

One day we’ll see Him face to face, and all that feels partial now will be made complete.

This Sunday, we were reminded that God’s plans are always better than our own — even when the doors we hoped for close. 🙏
From Acts 14, we saw what it looks like to walk in faith, give God the glory for His work, and share His truth with courage, no matter the cost.
