Alfred Henry Ackley wrote the hymn "He Lives" (no. 310 in The United Methodist Hymnal) as a response to a couple encounters with disbelief. When faced with questions regarding his faith in Jesus, Ackley noted that he felt Christ's ongoing presence in his everyday life. Christ lived in him and those around him.

This evening, the Good Friday Tenebrae Service will take place at 5:30 pm at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Akron.

A Maundy Thursday experience getting 'hands washed' at the Lenten service. It was a meaningful evening with folks from Churches in Akron, Brush, and Sterling participating.

Our photo-a-day practice for Lent offers a meaningful daily spiritual practice for reflecting on the meaning of this leading up to Easter and joining in reflective community.

There will not be a worship service at Akron UMC on Sunday, Feb. 1st.
Worship services will be held at All Saints Church on Brush at 9:15 am and at Peace Lutheran Church in Sterling at 11:00 am. Prairie Parish will be celebrating new Vicars Ben and Shila Adolf.
