Back to School Prayer Sunday is Almost Here!

Students—we want YOU to be there!

Whether you're starting preschool, heading into kindergarten, going back to middle or high school, or beginning college, this Sunday is all about praying over you as you step into a brand-new school year!

During our service, Pastor Rich will lead our church family in a special time of prayer, asking God to surround every student with His wisdom, protection, peace, courage, and strength for the year ahead.

We also invite teachers, administrators, coaches, bus drivers, support staff, and everyone who serves in our schools to join us as we gather to cover our students in prayer.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9

We’d love to have you with us at as we welcome special guests from the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) for a powerful morning focused on “Why Israel Matters.”

Together we’ll explore the biblical significance of Israel, hear encouraging teaching from experienced leaders, worship together, and grow in our understanding of God’s heart and His Word.

Whether you’ve studied this topic for years or are simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome!

Please join us in praying for our GAP Youth students and leaders as they finish an incredible week at camp in New Mexico! We're so thankful for the opportunity to partner with Sterling Church and believe God has been moving in powerful ways.

As they travel home tomorrow, pray for safe travels, hearts that continue to grow in Christ, and that what God has done this week will continue to bear fruit in their lives.

We can't wait to hear all that God has done. Welcome home soon, GAP Youth!

And just like that, we have another send-off!

Our Youth Camp goers & leaders are off to Glorieta, New Mexico for Fan the Flame 2026 Youth Camp and will be returning Monday, July 29th.

Please be praying for safe travels, for hearts to be touched, energy and strength for our Youth Leaders, and for this to be a week of camp our Youth never forget!

Please join us as our community comes together for a candlelit vigil to honor Parkyr Cline’s memory, to surround her family and friends with prayer, and to stand together in faith during this time of deep sorrow.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” May we hold onto the truth that God is near in our grief, and may His presence bring comfort where words fall short.
