FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH!

Paul Bunyan Days is coming up this weekend!

Please plan to attend the community outdoor worship service at Paul Bunyan Park on Sunday at 10 am.
Our very own Pastor Maribeth will be offering a fun outdoor/campfire themed Children's Time and delivering the message.

Then, we will be once again participating in the Parade at 1 pm.
We have many wonderful items to distribute along the parade route, and need lots of FLC representatives to walk the route.
You can walk, bike, roller blade! Bring your dog! Bring the kids! Wear a costume and make a sign! This is such a fun opportunity to represent our vibrant church to the community.

We look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday 🥳

This Sunday we will continue our brand new summer worship series, "Grounded in Creation." Our theme focus this week is "Water."

Please join us as we explore the many ways we can deepen our relationship with God the Creator by connecting with the wonder and beauty of God's creation all around us.

Also, since it is Father's Day, we will be blessing and honoring ALL the men of the congregation.

TOMORROW, June 20 beginning at 11:00 am.

Come enjoy delicious salads and dessert, door prizes, and a presentation by Connie Carmichael from Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area.

Tickets are $15 and all proceeds will be donated to the good and important work of Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area.

We have some very exciting news of upcoming opportunities at First Lutheran Church! 😁

First of all, our very first "Breakfast Church" was such a success, we're doing it again on SUNDAY, JULY 12 🥳

Coming up on Saturday is our annual Ladies Luncheon. This begins at 11 am and Connie Carmichael from Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area will be our guest speaker. All proceeds will be donated to Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area. Tickets are $15.

Next, we have such gorgeous gardens around the church, we are forming a brand new GARDENING COMMITTEE to help enhance and maintain our gardens. Anyone interested in being part of this new group, spending time outdoors, and meeting some great people are encouraged to respond to this post or talk to Bernie, Kathryn, or Pastor Maribeth 🌼🌺🌺🌸🌼

And, coming up THIS SUNDAY, the new KNITTING/CROCHETING group will meet after the worship service. This group meets every 3rd Sunday to knit and crochet together. They are making warm winter items for People's Church in Bemidji. 🩷

Every month First Lutheran Church sponsors an organization with donations of money and needed items. Many of the organizations we support are local.

In May, we made a commitment to respond to Jesus' call to care for those who are impoverished and suffering from severe food insecurity in Sudan.

It's exciting to report that our always generous congregation came through with compassion and generosity once again.

We raised $980 for The Lutheran World Federation and their important work in South Sudan.

Please hold our brothers and sisters across the world in prayer in their time of great suffering.

Yesterday we launched our very first "Breakfast Church" and introduced our summer worship series, "Grounded in Creation."

We had a full house, lots of delicious food (thank you Corina and crew), amazing music (thank you Raylan, Greyson, and Danny), and an engaging intergenerational worship experience.
