Sometimes God's "No" is preparing you for something greater.
David wanted to build the temple. It was a good desire. It was a godly desire. Yet God said, "No." Not because David's idea was wrong—but because it wasn't David's assignment.

Every good opportunity isn't necessarily God's calling for your life. Faith isn't just trusting God when He says "yes."
Faith is also trusting Him when He says "wait" or "not you."
God sees the whole story. We only see one chapter. Trust His timing.

Never forget where God found you.
Before God spoke to David about his future, He reminded him of his past: "I took you from the pasture..." (2 Samuel 7:8)

David wasn't self-made. He wasn't born into royalty. Everything he became was because of God's grace. The same is true for us.
Our greatest testimony isn't how successful we've become—it's how faithful God has been.If your family tells your story one day, will they talk more about your accomplishments or about God's faithfulness?

Take a moment today to thank God for where He brought you from.

The greatest legacy you can leave is pointing people to Jesus.
David's palace is gone. His throne is gone. His earthly kingdom faded. But God's promise to David pointed to an eternal King—Jesus Christ.

Our greatest legacy isn't a successful career. It's not financial security. It's not the things we leave behind. Our greatest legacy is helping others know Christ.

At the end of life, people won't remember the size of your house as much as the size of your faith. Live in such a way that when people remember you, they are reminded of Jesus.

"A legacy that points people to Christ is a legacy that lasts forever."

Hey church family, I am looking forward to being back in the pulpit this Sunday. I am so grateful for all of your prayers and encouragement during this time. God is truly faithful, and you all have been such a great witness of his love, grace, and compassion during this time. We are kicking off a new sermon series called Journeying with Christ. This weekend, we are going to focus on grace and repentance.

I will be returning to the office gradually, so if you need me, please call or email me. Have a blessed week!

Hey church family I wanted to say thank you for the prayers. I’m doing fine I went to the emergency room after church to get checked out and all my test came back fine. I did have a cardiac episode and my device functioned as it was designed. I’m doing some follow-ups with the doctors. Again thank you all for your prayers! I’ll see you Wednesday!
