Another shout out of gratitude for a kind and generous donation in loving memory of Nolan Boudreaux, one of the longtime Board members of the FofSPC. See other posts below. Donation was given by his loving companion of almost 30 years, Catherine Broussard. So thoughtful for honoring Nolan in this special way. The Friends thank you!

The heartfelt memorials continue to come in, in loving memory of one of our longtime Board members, Nolan Boudreaux, who lost his life in a car accident in early March.
He loved the Lord and he loved St. Paul! The Friends are appreciative of the generosity of so many.

Friends …. It is with profound sadness and disbelief to announce the unexpected death of one of our longtime supporters and Board member, Nolan Boudreaux. He was involved in the deadly crash yesterday on Nicholson Drive that tragically took his life.
He had been with Friends of St. Paul Church since its inception in 2009 and was present for each and every event. His constant and unwavering support never failed. He was a kind, gentle, giving and generous soul who loved the Lord (and St. Paul) deeply. Please keep he and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He will be missed tremendously.

While learning about different styles of church architecture, the religion students of Mrs. Tonya Orcino’s junior class at St. John High School paid a visit to our historic St. Paul Church as they learned about gothic styled architecture. Board president, Mrs. Susan B. Landry, gave a brief history of the church and the students toured the interior and even rang the 178-year old original bell! 🔔 Many thanks to them for visiting and allowing us to share our beloved church with them!

All that can be said is OMGoodness … what a joyous occasion indeed as the feast day of Sts. Peter and Paul was celebrated today at historic St. Paul Church! Fr. Jason Palermo lovingly celebrated this beautiful, annual Mass that attracted many who traveled from as far away as California, some from Texas, as well as dozens of former, longtime parishioners of St. Paul! One of the highlights of the Mass was the reunited “Celebration Singers,” a group of young musicians & singers from Our Lady of Prompt Succor in White Castle, dating back from the early 70s! Their music & presence was so powerful & appreciated!! Many, many thanks to all the devoted who helped make this Mass possible. As the old saying goes … It takes a village! 💒💒💒
May God continue to bless you all, and St. Paul … Pray for Us 🙏🏻
