Some pics from our work sites yesterday! One of our groups is working in a nursing home, and so we’re limited in pictures, as many residents don’t want or aren’t allowed to have their picture taken.

But here’s a picture of your students leading the residents in Karaoke! Also, some of our students were sorting clothes that go out for disaster relief.

Pray for our work today! We’ll be at the same sites.

This week our student ministry is on a mission trip to Cincinnati! The theme of today - travel, and getting situated. We got introduced to our theme this week - “Illuminate”. Jesus is the light of the world - and he sends us to be light too.

This week our group will be split - half of us will be serving at the Arbors at Milford - a rehabilitation and nursing home. They’ll be working with residents, showing them the love of Jesus.

The other half will be at Matthew 25: Ministries - an organization that focus on humanitarian aid and disaster relief. We’ll be packing boxes that go out to help people in need.

Hey Church! Reminder: Tomorrow is WATER WARS! It's looking more and more like the weather will cooperate with us, so we're looking forward to having a blast. This is a great event for 6th-12th graders! We're talking water balloon fights, water gun wars, and Slip N' Slide Kickball - if you are or have a student - get them there and INVITE A FRIEND!

Last night, we talked about how we're pushing our Water Wars event back a week. This is for a couple reasons:

1st - With the rain this week, and due to the forecasted temperatures, it just doesn't look like it'll be a great week weather wise. There won't be rain that day, but the ground will still be soaked, and it probably won't be above 80.

2nd - I (Ben) didn't communicate this even very well. I never made a social post, and I don't think it got announced during Sunday service. I'm sorry. I want this to be a fun event students feel like they can invite friends to, and I want as many friends as possible to come.

So, June 10th, at the church - 6-8pm. We'll have water balloon games, fights with sq**rt guns, and slip n' slide kickball! It's going to be a blast! Students, invite a friend! Parents, encourage your student to invite a friend! See you there!
