You don't have to be at full strength for Jesus to work with you.

A bruised reed is already damaged. A smoldering wick is more smoke than fire. Both are one breath away from gone. And Jesus doesn't finish them off. He doesn't s***f them out. He's gentle with the people everyone else has written off.

If that's you today, you're not disqualified. You're exactly who He came for.

Your flame may just be barely flickering, but Jesus hasn't given up on you. 🙌

Maybe you've been criticized for doing the right thing the wrong way. Maybe someone came at you and everything in you wanted to fire back, to correct them, to win the argument. Maybe walking away felt like losing.

Here's the thing: there's a difference between avoiding conflict because you're afraid and refusing conflict because it distracts you from your mission. Jesus knew they wanted Him dead, and He withdrew anyway. Not out of fear. Out of obedience. He wouldn't let His critics set His agenda. His Father did.

"Jesus was aware of this and withdrew." Matthew 12:15

Sometimes the most Christ-like thing you can do is walk away. Don't let your critics determine your mission. God has given you the mission. Stay with it. 🙌

Maybe you've been certain about something, only to find out later you missed it. Maybe you've dug your heels in when you should have listened.

Here's the thing: being convinced doesn't mean you're correct. The most dangerous place isn't being wrong. It's being certain and wrong at the same time.

The Pharisees had the Scriptures, the convictions, the evidence right in front of them. But when God Himself stood there, they couldn't bend. They'd already made up their minds.

So ask yourself: Is there anything you'd refuse to let Jesus correct?

Let Him examine you. Let Him change your mind. 🙏

Maybe you've been in an argument you knew you were losing, but you kept fighting anyway. Maybe you've been certain about something, only to find out later you missed it.

Maybe you've been waiting until you're better before you come to God. Maybe you've been carrying something for so long you've forgotten what it feels like to put it down. Maybe you've convinced yourself you need to fix yourself first.

Here's the thing: He's not waiting for you to get it together. He's just waiting for you to come.

Not cleaned up. Not figured out. Not one step closer to who you think you should be. Just come. Weary, heavy, worn out, and all.

Maybe you've been told you need to clean yourself up before you come to God. Maybe church has felt more like a performance than a relationship.

Here's the thing: Jesus never asked you to come to a system. He asked you to come to Him. Not a denomination. Not a creed. Not a set of hoops to jump through. Just come. Weary, heavy, worn out, and all.

Everything else is a good gift, but it was never meant to be the destination. The moment we settle for the resource and miss the Person, we've missed it all.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." —Matthew 11:28

He's not waiting for you to get it together. He's just waiting for you to come. 🙌

It's not a guilt trip. It's not a list of rules.

But it is a decision to turn the other direction. Repentance is hard, but God's grace in it to forgive and fulfill us is more than enough.
