Morning Prayer. "Lauds" is the Latin term for praise and is what desribes the solemn morning prayer, prayed upon rising or in the early morning. It sanctifies the day ahead. In my past appointment, Morning Prayer was something I did in each church one day each week. It offered an opportunity to congregants to pray and bring prayer petitions to their pastor on their behalf as well. I will be instituting a morning dedicated for prayer starting this week. The time for churchwide morning prayer will be each Wednesday from 9 AM to 10:00 AM. As a reminder, Pastoral Office Hours are each Wednesday as well from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Your pastor can be found in the church for prayer, petition, question, or conversation each Wednesday.
