Dear Members of the African Methodist Episcopal Church,

We are issuing an urgent call to every clergy person, officer, and member of the AME Church to stand with us in this critical moment. Join us this Sunday May 3rd at 6pm EST for our Freedom Summer Kickoff, a connectional effort to organize, mobilize, and protect our communities. As we experience the escalating assault on and erasure of our hard-fought rights, we cannot be silent or still.

Below you will find a flyer with details for our upcoming Freedom Summer Kickoff gathering:
Purpose: An urgent all-call response to the ongoing attack on and erasure of our rights, and the launch of our AME Freedom Summer work
Event: Freedom Summer Kickoff – AME Church
Who: All AME members, clergy, leaders, and community partners
When: Sunday May 3, 2026 at 6pm EST
Where: Via Zoom & Youtube

How to Participate: Pre-register HERE
We are asking you to:
Share the Freedom Summer Kickoff flyer widely with your congregations, ministries, and networks.
Announce this call to action during worship, meetings, and gatherings.
Show up, speak up, and stand together as a Connectional church committed to justice and liberation.

Our history has taught us that when the AME Church shows up, change becomes possible. Let us honor our legacy by responding with courage, clarity, and conviction as we begin this Freedom Summer.

In faith and solidarity,

Bishop Silvester S. Beaman
President, AME Council of Bishops

Bishop Francine A. Brookins
Chair, AME Social Action Commission

What a powerful and uplifting time we had at our Women’s Empowerment Event! Each moment reminded us that no matter our season in life, we have the ability to grow, thrive, and flourish right where God has placed us.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible presenter, Livell F. Paul, for delivering such an inspiring and impactful message.

To every woman who attended—thank you for showing up, supporting one another, and pouring into this beautiful community. Let’s continue to uplift each other and walk boldly in who we are called to be.

💐 Keep blooming ladies!!

What a powerful and spirit-filled day we experienced together! Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for such a beautiful worship service.

Today, we celebrated a truly special milestone as 9 precious souls were baptized! Each testimony is a powerful reminder that lives are being changed, hope is being restored, and God is still moving in mighty ways.

Heaven rejoiced, and so did we! Let’s continue to lift up these individuals in prayer as they begin this new chapter in their walk of faith.
