A biblical analogy: If the church were a tree

The Tree = The physical church building (150-year-old structure)
The Roots = The faith, traditions, and history planted there
The Fruit = Current spiritual growth/community impact (members being fed)

If the fruit is gone… are the roots still alive? And should you water a tree with no harvest?

Many might know this as “Bessie Walker’s House”, but it is actually the “parsonage”. Bessie Walker was the “Mother of The Church” until she passed. This house was actually rented by Sis. Vertnor (?), Bessie Walker’s mother. The pastor might get mad at me, the assistant custodian, KWill, but it should be for sale as with everything else. Rev. ain’t never lived in it and it’s just sitting there. The church should be able to sell it for $35-50,000. That’s more money for charity. Somebody might even need a house to live in. Y’all can get mad at me, but you need to stop keeping stuff you don’t use. ….like a church. -kWill.
