Tabernacle of Holiness’ Youth and Young Adults Ministry consisted of only 4 members in the beginning. Undeterred and determined to see a growth in this ministry, the members came together for weekly worship and prayer sessions and made many breakthroughs in the spirit. It was in 2003, that an identity for the ministry was formed with the name, Spiritual Warriors Apostolic Team, in short for the ac
ronym S.W.A.T. Since our humble beginnings, the ministry has grown to 35, with many going for regular overseas mission trips to serve the Kingdom as part of TOH’s calling. S.W.A.T had organised many evangelistic events, namely the annual Shackles Free Concert in the past and the successful Football Outreach programme for 8 years, whereby many young men’s lives were transformed. Currently the girls of the ministry have been involved in a monthly outreach programme for the past two years, partnering the Residence @ St. George’s of Methodist Welfare services which works with troubled girls. This has not only helped the girls at the home, but has also further crystallized the burden in our youths to serve the community as well. The youths and young adults are also very actively involved in many other ministries in Tabernacle of Holiness, namely, the Sunday Children’s Church, the Worship & AV Ministry and the Ushering Ministry. We get together for monthly services on Saturdays and monthly outings aimed at reaching out to friends and relatives. We have also steadily built our mentoring programme over the last five years and have seen many lives transformed through this. After the preparation over the years to move forward and take the lead, we have now refreshed our identity, with the new name, BRAVEhearts, with a vision to move to the frontlines and serve in His Kingdom.
