The Parish of Dormition of Theotokos, Russian Orthodox Church (Singapore)

Приход в честь Успения Божией Матери был учрежден Священным Синодом Русской Православной Церкви 12 октября 2007 года (http://www.patriarchia.ru/db/text/307292.html, журнал N:99). Архипастырское окормление Успенского прихода в Республике Сингапур Священный Синод поручил епископу Уссурийскому Сергию (Чашину), викарию Владивостокской епархии, ныне - Патриаршему Экзарху Юго-Восточной Азии, Митрополиту

Сингапурскому и Юго-Восточно-Азиатскому Сергию.

Официальная регистрация прихода в соответствии с законодательством Сингапура была завершена 12 декабря 2008 года, после чего началось ведение полноценной приходской деятельности.

На сегодняшний день, приход является духовной пристанью более чем для двухсот православных христиан. Действует воскресная школа для детей, проводятся занятия по церковному пению и чтению, катахезации, развивается добровольческое общество "Милосердие". Доброй традицией стало совершение ежегодных паломничеств по святым местам России, Святой земли и иных мест. Регулярно проводятся концерты и постановки, выезды на природу.

The Parish of Dormition of Theotokos was established by Holy Synod of Russian Orthodox Church on 12th of October 2007 (http://www.patriarchia.ru/db/text/307292.html, protocol No99). Holy Synod entrust Archpastoral care of Holy Dormition Parish in Republic of Singapore to bishop of Ussuriysk Sergiy (Chashin), vicar of Vladivostok eparchy, now - Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and South-East Asia. Official Parish registration according to Singapore law was received on 12th of December 2008, when full parish activities has begun. Today, parish is a spiritual Marina for more than 200 orthodox christians. There is children Sunday school functioning, church chanting and reading lessons, catechism, volunteer community "Mercy" developing. It became good tradition to have yearly pilgrimage to holy places of Russia, Holy Land and others. Regular to have concerts and plays, nature set offs. Purpose of this page - is to tell about life of the Parish better, to share our news and joys. If you find here anything is close with you - be our friends !

13 сентября 2026 года, в Неделю 15-ю по Пятидесятнице, в день празднования Положения честного пояса Пресвятой Богородицы (395–408) и памяти святых благоверных князей Петра и Февронии, Муромских чудотворцев, в нашем храме была совершена Божественная Литургия.

Богослужение совершил епископ Джакартский Питирим, викарий Сингапурской епархии, в сослужении духовенства храма.

По окончании Литургии прихожане смогли приложиться к частицам святых мощей благоверных князей Петра и Февронии — покровителей христианской семьи и брака.

Затем в храме продолжилась приходская жизнь. Для юных прихожан состоялось занятие в Воскресной школе, посвящённое церковному календарю. Ребята говорили о том, как Господь на протяжении всего года ведёт человека и протягивает ему Свою руку поддержки.

А тем временем взрослые приняли участие в очередной встрече из цикла бесед по истории Ранней Церкви, которую провёл клирик храма иерей Филипп Калингтон.

Divine Liturgy celebrated at Our Church on the Feast of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist

On September 11, 2026, the feast day commemorating the Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord, St. John the Baptist, His Grace Pitirim, Bishop of Jakarta and Vicar of the Diocese of Singapore, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at our church.

On September 8, 2026, on the feast of the Meeting of the Vladimir Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at our church.

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the parish clergy priest Evgeny Shmelev.

His Grace Bishop Pitirim was also present in the church and prayed during the Divine Liturgy.

On September 6, 2026, the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, and the feast of the Translation of the Relics of St. Peter of Moscow, Wonderworker of All Russia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at our church.

The service was presided over by Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, Vicar of the Singapore Diocese, concelebrating with the clergy of the parish.

Following the Liturgy, the faithful gathered for the traditional Sunday fellowship meal. Sunday School classes were also held in the parish that day.

On September 5, 2026, Saturday of the 14th week after Pentecost, on the day of the Leave-taking of the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at our church.

Following the Divine Liturgy, the rite of the Leave-taking of the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos was performed. The Shroud of the Mother of God was reverently carried into the altar.

Божественная Литургия в 40-й день кончины новопреставленного Валерия Колышева

Сегодня, 4 сентября, в нашем храме была совершена Божественная Литургия, за которой состоялось молитвенное поминовение новопреставленного раба Божия Валерия Колышева в 40-й день со дня его кончины.

Богослужение совершил епископ Джакартский Питирим, викарий Сингапурской епархии.

По окончании Литургии была совершена панихида по новопреставленному Валерию.

В этот день прихожане храма вместе с архипастырем молитвенно почтили память усопшего, испросив у Господа упокоения его души и вечной жизни в Царствии Небесном.

В Неделю 13-ю по Пятидесятнице митрополит Сергий совершил Литургию в нашем храме

30 августа 2026 года, в Неделю 13-ю по Пятидесятнице, попразднство Успения Пресвятой Богородицы, Патриарший Экзарх Юго-Восточной Азии, митрополит Сингапурский и Юго-Восточно-Азиатский Сергий совершил Божественную Литургию в нашем храме.

Архипастырю сослужило духовенство храма.

По окончании Божественной Литургии было совершено славление празднику Успения Пресвятой Богородицы.

Завершился воскресный день праздничной трапезой по случаю престольного праздника храма.
