Day 1: God Knows Me by Name
📖 “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.” – Isaiah 43:1
💡 Devotional Thought
You may be in a new country, living with new people, speaking a new language—but you are not unknown or forgotten. Before your employer knew your name, God already knew it. He created you, called you, and chose you to be here. You are not just a worker or a helper—you are precious and deeply loved by God.
In a place where you might feel small or unnoticed, God sees you. He doesn’t just know your name—He knows your story, your fears, your dreams, and even the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7). You are not here by accident. God brought you to Singapore with a purpose—to walk with Him and shine for Him in your new environment.
🔍 Reflection Question
Do I believe that God sees me and cares about my life today? How does it make me feel that He knows my name?
🙏 Prayer
Father, thank You that You know me by name. Even when I feel homesick or alone, remind me that I am Yours. Help me trust that You brought me here for a reason. Today, I rest in the truth that I am known, seen, and loved by You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Evening Reflection: Resting in the God Who Sees Me
📖 “You are Mine.” – Isaiah 43:1
As your workday ends after cooking, cleaning, caring, and adjusting to many new things pause for a moment and remember that You were never alone. Every moment you felt tired, misunderstood, or unsure today, God was with you.
He saw the small things you did with love.
He heard the quiet prayers you whispered in your heart.
He noticed your effort, even when no one thanked you.
Your name is written on His heart.
Your presence in this home is part of His plan.
He is shaping your character and calling you closer to Him every day.
✨ Personal Reflection Questions:
What moment today reminded me that God is near?
Was there a time I felt unnoticed or discouraged
and can I give that to God now?
What am I thankful for tonight?
🙏 Evening Prayer:
Lord, thank You for walking with me today. When I felt weak, You were my strength. When I felt unseen, You reminded me that I am Yours. As I sleep, help me to rest in Your love and wake up with new hope. I trust You with my tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
