St James’ very accomplished musicians and vocalist performed to an enthralled audience at the Church on Saturday 6th June 2026. ! A huge amount of preparation by performers and organisers ensured a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all and over 1,000 euros raised for the Roof Appeal

Jim Hukari and James Elliott were admitted as the new Churchwardens of St James on Sunday’. Father Colin thanked Julie Chambers and Vicky Field, the outgoing Wardens for their service to St James. James and Jim go forward in their roles with the love and support of the congregation

Every Wednesday morning 10.30am - 12.30pm Porto Playgroup meets in the Well House at St James for their weekly play session
The Playgroup is an informal meeting place where babies and children can socialise and enjoy free-play, scheduled activities, arts and crafts and music, and where new parents can make friends, share ideas and simply get-out-of-the-house, all while spending quality time with their child.
Members of the St James Community are always on duty to support and prepare the snacks for the children and family members. Here are Jeff and Barbara Thomas at work last week. Thank you to them and all our volunteers who help support this important activity.
