Did you know?

Padre Pio (Francesco Forgione, 1887–1968) received the visible stigmata on September 20, 1918, while praying after Mass in the chapel of the Capuchin friars at San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy — he was 31 years old.⁠
The wounds appeared on his hands, feet, and left side of the chest, matching Christ's crucifixion wounds, and remained on his body before his death in September 1968.⁠
He also bore an invisible wound on his right shoulder, where Christ carried the Cross — so painful he reportedly called it his "most painful wound," and he revealed it to only one person, Karol Wojtyła (the future Pope John Paul II), during a 1948 encounter at San Giovanni Rotondo.⁠
Some accounts also mention transverberation of the heart, wounds from scourging, and an invisible crown of thorns.

𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

Padre Pio's physical pain was his act of redemptive suffering. He offered his bleeding wounds for the conversion of souls in purgatory, reflecting on what also Christ did on the cross.

Just like Padre Pio, may we to learn to accept our own crosses in life. As well as being contented and grateful of all the gifts and grace God showered unto us, and despite our sufferings, may we hold on to our faith, make use of it to Glorify our Lord God and never let go of it throughout our lives.

𝗬𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗣 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 ✨

𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹: Matthew 20:1–16

There were times in our lives that we experienced being envious of what other people had. Today’s gospel is very relatable to the 9th commandment of God: You shall not covet your neighbors goods. As humans, we tend to covet what others receive from God. We are all equal recipients of God’s grace. If He has given you salvation, then He will also give it to others. Like the landowner who promised to pay all the workers fairly, God also promised us equal salvation because He sees us equally as His children.

𝗬𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗣 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 ✨

September 20, 2026 – 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹: Matthew 20:1–16a

What struck me the most in today’s Gospel is how good and generous God is. The workers who came late still received the same pay as the workers who came early. At first, I thought it was not fair. But after thinking about it, I understood that God is generous. He does not measure His love based on how much we do. He gives His love to everyone.

This made me think about my own life. Sometimes, I compare myself with other people. I see their blessings and wonder when I will receive mine. The Gospel reminds me that God has His own time for me. I should trust Him and be thankful for what I already have.

This Gospel is close to my heart because I sometimes compare myself with other people. Sometimes, I see people who are already successful, and I ask myself why I am still waiting. I also have dreams that I want to reach. I want to have a good future and help my family. Because of this, I sometimes become worried when things do not happen quickly.

There are times when I feel that I am falling behind. But this Gospel reminds me that my life is different from other people's lives. God knows what I need and when I need it. I may not have everything I want right now, but I still have many things to thank God for. I have people who care for me, opportunities to learn, and opportunities to serve. These are already blessings from God. So, I want to stop comparing myself with others and learn to be happy with what I have.

I believe God wants me to trust Him more. He wants me to wait for His right time and stop comparing my life with other people. I should focus on what I need to do each day and do my work and duties with a good heart. I should also be happy when other people receive blessings. Their blessings do not mean that God has forgotten me.

When I feel worried, I should pray instead of being afraid. I will continue to work hard and do my best. I will continue to serve God and help other people. I will be thankful for the blessings I already have. I may not know what will happen in the future, but I will trust God, wait for His timing, and keep going.

‎𝗬𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗣 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 ✨

‎𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹: Matthew 20:1–16
‎
‎In today's gospel, there is a landowner who hires workers for his vineyard. He pays every worker the same daily wage, whether they worked all day or only the final hour. In the same way, God sees us all equally and gives us the exact same love. For this, we should be grateful.
‎
‎There are times when we think God favors some people more than others. Some people feel their prayers are answered right away, while others feel like God did not even hear them, even though they walked a longer or harder path of faith and stayed loyal to Him. This is exactly what it looks like when God's ways are higher than our own.
‎
‎We run our lives on a ledger. We want to be paid for what we have earned, and we want others to be paid for what they have earned, especially if they earned less. But what the gospel wants to teach us is to rejoice in God's generous love, instead of complaining like we don't have enough. Even though we are sinful and selfish, God still treats us with grace and mercy.
‎
‎If God dealt with us by strict fairness, by exactly what we had earned none of us would want to receive what we deserve. Our whole hope depends on God being more generous than fair. We only resent His mercy toward others when we forget that we are living on that same mercy ourselves.
‎
‎So let us keep reminding ourselves that God is close to everyone who calls on Him, no matter who we are or what we have done.

𝗬𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗣 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 📖

Twenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time | September 20, 2026

In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us about God’s generosity and fairness. The parable reminds us that God does not measure our worth by how early or how much we have served Him. Instead, He gives generously according to His love and grace. We are also reminded not to compare ourselves with others or become envious of the blessings they receive.

𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹: Matthew 20:1–16a

Jesus told his disciples this parable:
“The kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out at dawn to hire laborers for his vineyard. After agreeing with them for the usual daily wage, he sent them into his vineyard.
He went out again at nine in the morning, at noon, and at three in the afternoon, and hired others. Finally, at about five o’clock, he found more people standing idle and invited them to work in his vineyard.
When evening came, the landowner gave each worker the same daily wage. Those who had worked since early morning complained because they believed they deserved more than those who had worked for only one hour.

But the landowner replied, ‘My friend, I am not cheating you. Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage? Take what is yours and go. What if I wish to give this last one the same as you? Or am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Are you envious because I am generous?’
Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

‎This advocacy is not a support for people who tolerate the confidential fund and ghost projects, but an invitation to open the eyes of many that we also have our own contribution to this issue.

‎We sometimes tend to forget that we also have to contribute for our development. Indi lang kita dapat maghulat nga ang gobyerno ang maghimo sang tanan para sa aton. May ara man kita sang responsibilidad nga dapat naton tumanon.

‎Bilang mga Kristyanong Katoliko, gina-agda gid ang tanan nga magmangin mapisan sa pag-atipan kag pagpalangga sa aton nga palibot. Indi tanan gin-himo sang Dios para lang gamiton kag paginawan naton ginbilin ini sa aton bilang responsibilidad nga aton dapat amligan.

‎Change does not always begin in the government. Sometimes, it begins with where we choose to throw our trash, how we care for our surroundings, and how willing we are to do our part.
