We seek much more than to build Bethlehem Baptist Church, we seek to build a community of believers. BBC Started in 1988 when a few people got together in a home to study the bible and worship. A few years after that Craig & Michaela came on staff and have stuck around, along with a tonne of other people along the way. The culture of BBC has always been about loving God, then loving people. These

fundamentals don't change, and you can feel it when you walk in. These days BBC is quite a large community, over 2500 people. A lot of people are involved with serving on some level behind the scenes which helps us all get to know each other. Our size also gives us the opportunity to run great events for the wider Tauranga community like Easter Journey & A Night Before Christmas and many smaller events. People also connect in smaller numbers with three Sunday services including a night service, seminars and home groups, Mainly Music and loads more. Youth and children are a huge deal for us so we give them their own space on Sunday and throughout the week. On Sunday, Pastor Craig reflected on one of Jesus’ most powerful miracles, the raising of Lazarus. What looked hopeless was transformed by the power of God and through Christ, what was once dead can be made alive again. We as the church exists as a community of resurrection people. Jesus calls people out of death into life, and then invites His people to help remove the “grave clothes” as they grow in faith. Parenting for Faith is a practical and encouraging course designed to help parents, caregivers, grandparents, and anyone influencing children or teens to help them connect with God in everyday life.

Through video teaching, group discussion, and reflection, you’ll gain simple tools and fresh confidence to make faith part of the normal rhythms of family life — whether you’re navigating toddlers, teens, or anything in between.

Eat Pray Grow is back this June 🍽️🙏🌱

Join us for four Sunday evenings designed to help us slow down, create space for God, and grow together as apprentices of Jesus through practices from Practicing the Way.

This year you can choose from five different practices:
• Prayer
• Sabbath
• Witness
• Scripture
• Service

Each evening begins with a shared light meal together, creating space for connection, conversation, and fellowship before heading into courses together.

Whether you’re wanting to deepen your prayer life, engage Scripture more intentionally, build healthier rhythms of rest, grow in sharing your faith, or become more intentional in serving others, there’s a practice for everyone.
