A huge thanks to all of our Church family who joined the Taurima Gathering on Sunday night.

The 100+ attendees, had a wonderful time.

We were blessed by Every Nation Southside, with their amazing worship team, and were inspired by their campus Pastor who spoke on Proverbs 3.

24/7 Pentecost Prayer 2026 - 18–24 May

This year, the churches of Hillcrest are joining together for 24/7 Pentecost Prayer as we prepare for Pentecost Sunday.

Across the week we will gather to pray: “Come, Holy Spirit.”
We are asking God to pour out His Spirit afresh upon His Church — to renew, strengthen, and embolden us to live as the body of Christ in the world.

We are praying for our friends and neighbours, our city, our nation, the global Church, and situations unfolding around the world. As the Church is renewed by the Spirit, we pray God’s Kingdom would be made known through His people in every place.

This year, St Francis Church, Commoners Church, Hillcrest Baptist Church, and Hillcrest Chapel are partnering in this initiative. Prayer spaces will be hosted by St Francis Church and Hillcrest Chapel.

We would love everyone to consider setting aside time to pray during the week. There is an online signup calendar where you can book a prayer slot. This helps encourage the week and assists those coordinating the spaces. You are welcome to sign up whether you are praying onsite or from home.

Our first shared lunch for the year will be following the service on May 17th, and this one has a theme!

We’d love you to bring a dish to share from a country that is special to you, whether it’s part of your heritage, a place you’ve lived, travelled to, or simply love.

Everyone is welcome! If you’re unable to bring something, please still come and share in the meal and time of fellowship as a church family.
