Gathered in Jesus' presence,
Scattered for Jesus' purposes. Join us for Sunday service at 10am. Hi, welcome to the home page of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

The church building is located right around the corner from the Waikato University on the round-about but it’s not the building that makes the church but rather the people. Who are we? Well we are a mixed bunch from all sorts of backgrounds and nationalities. I suppose when you look at us we are like a huge extended family with babies, kids, teens, uni students, young marrieds, parents of the kids, grandparents and oldies and everything in between.

Huge thank you to our team who ran the Light Party today! It was a party indeed! They've found some shoes and a drink bottle, let us know if they're yours!

Hello everyone,

From today (27/10), HBC will be hosting the early voting and Election Day voting. https://map.vote.nz/voting-places

Weekday arrangements (all day, not just during voting hours):
-Clyde Street entrance (playground side): For voting only. Please use the main entrance for all other visits.
-Hallway and far toilets: Please do not use these during the week.
-Change table: A change table is available in the unisex toilets by the auditorium. Parents and caregivers, please use these toilets if you need a change table during the week.

Sundays should be as normal, with the voting supplies packed away for the weekend.

Thanks so much for your understanding!

🎄 Christmas Food Drive 🎄

At HBC, we support the Hamilton Combined Christian Foodbank throughout the year, and their annual Christmas food drive is now on!

We have a stack of empty bags in our foyer, each with this poster stapled to it. Next time you’re at church, please consider taking a bag home with you and filling it with some of the items on the list.

The Foodbank will be coming to collect our donations on Monday November 2nd, so please bring your filled bags or loose donations along BEFORE then.

Won't be able to fill a whole bag but want to contribute? That’s absolutely fine! We know that the cost of groceries has gone up a lot this year so just give what you can. Loose donations, as always, are very welcome and can be left into the HCCFB basket in the auditorium like usual.

Thank you for helping us bless families in our community this Christmas! ❤️

You're all invited to Quiet Morning on August 29th!

Lin typically leads with a short time of Lectio Divina, followed by some quiet time with optional prompts from the scripture. Bring your journal if you'd like to get creative during your reflection time.

This is held in her home so please RSVP to Lin if you are coming and for the address.

Bathroom Renovation Project Update:

Thanks to many of you for your support of our bathroom renovation project with prayer and funds. $11,000 came in last month for this project and will be accruing interest in our notice saver account as we continue to look to further funding options.

The level of pledges for the future was not enough to consider getting a loan and take steps towards building consent and engaging a project manager at this time.

Ongoing donations and fundraising initiatives to build our resource for this upgrade continue to be welcome into our saving account listed on the project flyer.
Two of our members have offered generous fundraising options from their own businesses. Thank you to Scott and the Talapati family.
