Kia ora whaanau, as we move into Lent we want to extend an invitation for you to join us as we lean into this wilderness season, following in the way of Jesus.

SHROVE TUESDAY - 13th Feb
Join us for a rolling pancake breakfast at St. Francis Church, from 7-9am This will be an opportunity to eat pancakes with others and discuss what it is you think you might put down and pick up during the season of Lent. If you don't know, that's ok, come and be inspired by what others are choosing to give up to make space to be with Jesus.

ASH WEDNESDAY - 14th Feb
We have two Ashing services at 8am and 8pm. This is a great opportunity to begin the Lenten season in reflection and confession, laying down the things that we have loved more than Jesus and following Him into the wilderness places.

We would love to see you at one or all of our gatherings as we make room for the Holy Spirits work of renewal in our lives through the practices of Lent on the journey towards Easter ✝️

This Sunday we are beginning our Advent series πŸŽ„πŸ“―πŸŒŸ

The lead up to Christmas for many is stressful and noisy. But when we look at the themes of Advent they seem in stark contrast to our experience of December. Advent is a season where the Church has traditionally prepared for the coming of Jesus, a season of waiting, watching, anticipating. This Advent series we want to consider how the practice of waiting can form us increasingly into a people of hope, peace, joy & love if we allow it to, and what that might mean for both our experience of the festive season and for those who cross our path.

We'd love to see you there, 10:30am in the hall πŸ™Œ

This Sunday we continuing our series on the Kingdom of God, unpacking what this means for today and how it gives hope for the future. We'd love it if you joined us as we nerd out on some theology over tasty brews. See you at The Abbey, 87 Forest Lake Road, Hamilton. Much Aroha!

30/10/2023

Jesus told us to pray "Your kingdom come", but what does the in breaking of God's kingdom now and in the future mean for our day to day? Does it bring hope or a sense of dread?

We are excited to be starting our new series for the month of November, nerding out on some theology, wrestling with some big questions, debunking some unhelpful ways of thinking, all with the hope that we can experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing King Jesus and living life increasingly with him in his kingdom.

We'd love to see you there, 10:30am at Holy Trinity. Much love!

This weekend we are taking a break from our normal rhythms and again carving out time to sabbath, Saturday night to Sunday evening. We want to step back from the hustle and the harried pace of life long enough so that we can truly stop, rest, delight and worship both in community and personally.

SATURDAY - we are encouraging everyone to begin with dinner on the Saturday night, either with family or friends to welcome in the Sabbath together.

SUNDAY - On Sunday morning we are gathering with our friends at St. Francis Church Hillcrest for their 10am service with coffee and chats afterwards.

Last week we continued our journey in Philippians, reading these very words and considering what living as citizens of heaven both means and looks in the here and now. Join us again this week, to gather, worship, pray and work through more of Philippians, allowing the words to work their way through and into us as we seek after Jesus πŸ™πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯

This Sunday we continue our new series in the book of Philippians using the ancient practice of Lectio Divina. We would love to see you as we gather to worship Jesus and allow God's word to dwell in us richly as a community; and of course drink coffee.

Join us this Sunday as we worship Jesus together, come around his table and consider what it means to live as citizens of heaven. Over the next four weeks we are going to read through the whole book of Philippians together, holding space for God to speak to us through his word as we meditate on it and talk to one another about it. Looking forward to seeing you!
