Last Sunday’s sermon reminded us that the Holy Spirit is not distant or abstract, but our advocate- the One who walks alongside us, dwells within us and gently leads us into truth. Christianity is not about merely knowing facts about God, but about knowing Him personally and intimately. Through the Holy Spirit, we are no longer bound by fear, sin or our own limitations, but are set free to live the life God has called us to and empowered to do His work.

Church, are we truly living in dependence on the Holy Spirit, or are we still trying to do God’s work in our own strength? 🤔

This week’s sermon, The Faith That Carries, reminded us that true faith does not stop with us. It brings others to Jesus. Through the Gospel of Gospel of Mark, we saw how ordinary people carried the hurting and needy to Christ, and how God can use our past for His present purpose. So, who are you carrying to Jesus today? We are the agents through which God’s grace is distributed, called to bring hope, love, and people closer to Him.

On Mother’s Day, we had the privilege of having both Pr Eagle and Pr Nancy preach the Word of God! 💐

Pr Nancy started off by comparing how the world raises a child with God’s way. The world focuses on a child’s success, hence why children are pressured to learn everything and molded to not make mistakes. And more often than not, because of this pressure, children are wired to think that they need to be successful to be loved, forcing them to focus on their standing in the world.

On the other hand, God cares neither for success nor fame, but for the child’s relationship with Him, prioritising guidance and companionship to ensure every child walks in the right path and not stray away from Him as they get older. His love is foundational and allows the child to grow in love, not to receive love.

Pr Eagle ended the sermon by encouraging families to put into practice what they have learned from God, allowing the God of peace to be with them.

Last Sunday’s sermon reminded us that God is Light, Life and Love. His light doesn’t just guide us; it also gently exposes what’s hidden, helping us see truth and direction more clearly. As 1 John 4:11 reminds us, we are called to love God and His people sincerely and sacrificially, even when it’s hard and even when there’s hurt.

“The church is the body of Christ” is not just a phrase, it is a life we are meant to live out. As Ephesians 4:11–16 reminds us, each of us has a part to play in building up His body, growing into maturity and being rooted in truth and love. Church is not a place to appear put-together, but a place to stay connected, especially in difficult seasons. Instead of walking away when we’re hurt, we are invited to see it as an opportunity for healing and restoration, because a body does not just abandon a wounded part.

Church, let us see people through Christ’s perspective and take part in His work of reconciliation, building one another up in love as we grow in spiritual maturity and prepare for His return. 🌿✨

Last Sunday, Pr Daniel reemphasised the importance of knowing that Jesus isn’t looking for perfection. He meets us right where we are and if we let Jesus in, His truth will set us free, His life will renew us, and His light will lead us forward.

We should not focus on living for Jesus so much so that we forget He is already living in us. Church, true freedom does not come from a religion. It comes from encountering Jesus, walking in His truth, and letting His light expose and transform every darkness lingering in our lives.

Do not just go through the motions like usual. Invite Jesus in today and let Him transform your life from the inside out.

Last Sunday, Pr Kevin shared on The Expressions of the New Humanity from Ephesians 2:11–15, not just as an idea but a life we are called to live.

God desires a real, active relationship with us, one we pursue daily. We seek truth in His Word, live it out through goodness, and create beauty in our lives and relationships.

John 1 reminds us that He is the Truth and the Light. We are called to reflect Him.

Truth without beauty is cold.
Goodness without truth is misguided.
Beauty without goodness is deceptive.

So, what does your life reflect today?
