Peter reminds believers that God calls us to walk in humility and trust His timing.
To humble ourselves before God means recognising that He is in control, we are not, and we can confidently place our lives, plans, and circumstances in His hands.
The phrase “in due time” is important. God may not work according to our timetable, but we can trust that His timing is perfect.

The verse is teaching us to:
1. Humble ourselves before God
Instead of insisting on our own way, we surrender our plans and desires to Him.

2. Trust God’s sovereignty
Even when we don’t understand what He is doing, we can trust His wisdom.

3. Wait faithfully
God’s silence or delay does not mean He has forgotten us.

4. God sees our faithfulness
We don’t need to seek recognition or force our way forward. God knows when and how to lift us up.

Application for us:
1. Surrender your plans to God
Pray, “Lord, Your will be done,” even when His timing is different from yours.

2. Remain faithful in the waiting
Continue serving, praying, and obeying even when you don’t immediately see the results.

3. Don’t compare yourself with others
God has a different timing and purpose for every person.

4. Let humility shape your service
Serve God faithfully without needing recognition, position, or applause.

We don’t have to promote ourselves when we can trust God to lift us up in His time.

You may not see what God is doing right now, but keep trusting, keep serving, and keep walking faithfully. In His time, He will lift you up. — 1 Peter 5:6

Lord, teach me to humble myself before You and trust Your timing. Help me not to rush ahead or become discouraged when things do not happen as I expect. Give me patience to remain faithful and confidence that You are working according to Your perfect plan. Amen.

Welcome September - Begin with Prayer

September is here! As we step into another month, let's not rush into our plans without first taking time to seek the One who holds our future.

Join us for our weekly prayer meeting as we come together to worship, give thanks and commit the month ahead into God's hands.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. - Proverbs 3:6

This short verse carries a profound truth. After giving practical instructions to the church, Paul concludes with a guiding principle:
Everything we do should be motivated by love.

As followers of Christ, obedience is not meant to come from fear, obligation, or the desire for recognition. Instead, our actions should flow from a heart transformed by God’s love.

Jesus Himself taught that the greatest commandments are to love God and love our neighbour (Matthew 22:37–40). Therefore, every instruction God gives us is ultimately fulfilled through love.

How this encourages believers to follow God’s instructions:
1. Obedience begins with love
When we truly love God, we naturally desire to obey His Word.

2. God’s commands are for our good
His instructions are not burdensome but are given to help us live wisely, faithfully, and joyfully.

3. Love shapes our actions
Whether serving in ministry, caring for family, working, or helping others, love should be the motivation behind everything we do.

4. Our obedience reflects Christ
Living according to God’s Word becomes a testimony of His love to the world.

Application for our daily walk:
1. Obey God wholeheartedly
Choose to follow His Word because you love Him, not merely out of duty.

2. Let love guide every decision
Before you speak or act, ask: “Does this reflect the love of Christ?”

3. Serve others with humility
Whether your role is seen or unseen, serve with a joyful and loving heart.

4. Reflect Christ every day
Allow God’s love to shape your words, attitudes, and relationships.

When love is our motivation, obedience becomes an act of worship.

Following God’s instructions is not about following rules—it is about growing in a relationship with Him. As His love fills our hearts, our obedience becomes a joyful response to His grace.

May every decision, every conversation, every act of service, and every step of obedience be rooted in the love of Christ. For when we walk in love, we walk in the very heart of God.

Selamat Hari Merdeka! Celebrating 69 Years of Malaysia’s Independence

Today, we give thanks to God for the nation we call home.

As we celebrate Merdeka, may we remember that true freedom is found in Christ. Let us continue to pray for Malaysia—for peace, unity, wisdom for our leaders, and blessings upon every community and generation.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
— Psalm 33:12

May Malaysia continue to grow in peace, unity and righteousness, and may we, as the Church, be a light and blessing wherever God has placed us.

Let us pray for Malaysia.
One nation. Many cultures. One hope in Christ.

Romans 15:5 is Paul’s prayer for the church to experience unity through God’s strength. Before this verse, Paul encourages believers to bear with one another, especially those who are weaker in faith, and to follow Christ’s example of selfless love.

Paul reminds us that God is the source of:
* Endurance – the strength to remain faithful through difficulties.
* Encouragement – the comfort and hope we need to keep going.
* Unity – a Christ-like attitude that enables believers to live in harmony.

The focus is not on everyone having the same personality or opinions, but on sharing the same heart and purpose found in Christ.

What this teaches us:
1. God gives strength for every season
When we are weary or discouraged, God provides the endurance we need to continue faithfully.

2. Unity glorifies God
A church that loves, forgives, and supports one another reflects the heart of Christ.

3. Christ is our example
Jesus showed patience, humility, compassion, and sacrificial love. We are called to treat others in the same way.

4. Encouragement is part of Christian living
God comforts us so that we can strengthen and encourage others.

Application for our daily walk:
1. Choose unity over division
Be quick to forgive, listen, and seek peace in your relationships.

2. Encourage someone intentionally
A message, prayer, or kind word can remind someone that they are not alone.

3. Persevere with God’s strength
When life or ministry feels difficult, rely on God’s endurance rather than your own.

4. Develop the attitude of Christ
Ask yourself, “How would Jesus respond in this situation?”

Strong churches are built not only by gifted people, but by believers who encourage one another and pursue unity in Christ.

As we come to the final prayer meeting of August, let’s gather with grateful hearts to thank God for His faithfulness throughout the month and commit the days ahead into His hands.

There is no better way to finish the month than by seeking God together in unity and prayer.

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” — Colossians 4:2
