To bring people into the family of Jesus Christ, develop them into Christian maturity and equip them for their ministry in the church in order to magnify God’s name STATEMENT OF FAITH.
• We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, as fully inspired by God, and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
• We believe in one God, eter

nally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
• We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin, which is death physically and spiritually; that all human beings inherit a sinful nature which issued (in the case of those who reach moral responsibility) in actual transgression involving personal guilt.
• With regard to sexual behavior, we believe in heterosexual relationships between a natural man and a natural woman within the confines of lawful matrimony. Adherence to this stated principle of sexual behavior is an inherent requirement of membership of CFC BLANTYRE.
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice according to the Scriptures and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
• We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.
• We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
• We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit; and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We believe in the divinely ordained ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor, and Evangelist.

• With regard to submission to authority, we believe in the principle of being in authority because you are under authority. As such, it is understood that CFC BLANTYRE membership shall be subject to submission to authority in matters pertaining to church governance, doctrine, and personal behavior.
• We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.
• We believe that the one true Church is the whole company of those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit; that the local church on earth should take its character from this concept of the Church spiritual and therefore that the new birth and personal confession of Christ are essentials of church membership.
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances: Baptism in water and the Lord’s Supper, to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian Faith, that Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that the Lord’s Supper is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of the Savior’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death, until He comes.
• We believe that divine healing was provided for in the Old and New Testaments, and is an integral part of the Gospel.
• We believe that the Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation.
• We believe in obeying the statement made by Jesus found in Matthew 28, verses 19-20, which is “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
• The fellowship is open to any further truth which the Holy Spirit may illuminate from the Scriptures.

LAZINESS AS A CHRISTIAN AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

Laziness is a habit of avoiding responsibility, hard work, and the duties that God has given us. As Christians, we are called to be diligent, faithful, and responsible in everything we do. The Bible teaches us in (Proverbs 6:6–11 ) ,to learn from the ant, which works diligently and prepares for the future. A lazy Christian may have good dreams and abilities, but without discipline and action, those opportunities can be wasted. Laziness can also affect our spiritual life when we become careless about prayer, reading the Word of God, attending fellowship, and serving others. God expects us to use the gifts and opportunities He has given us instead of allowing them to remain unused.

The consequences of laziness can be serious. It can lead to poverty, missed opportunities, disappointment, weakness in faith, and dependence on others. When a person continually delays important responsibilities, progress becomes difficult and valuable time is lost.

Proverbs 10:4 says, “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.”
:This teaches us that diligence is important not only in our work but also in our Christian journey. Therefore, as believers, we should reject laziness and develop a spirit of discipline, prayer, hard work, and commitment. We must remember that faith should be accompanied by action. Let us work faithfully, serve God with dedication, and make good use of every opportunity He gives us.

OF THE MIND

The sanctification of the mind is an important part of growing in Christ. As Christians, we must allow God to change the way we think, because our thoughts influence our words, decisions, and actions. The world can fill our minds with fear, hatred, lust, pride, and negative thoughts, but God's Word teaches us to think about things that are true, pure, good, and pleasing to Him. A renewed mind helps us to understand God's will and make decisions that honour Him.

Scripture: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
>Romans 12:2.

Sanctifying the mind is a daily process that requires prayer, reading the Bible, and choosing carefully what we allow into our hearts. We cannot control every thought that comes into our minds, but we can choose which thoughts we accept and keep. When negative or sinful thoughts come, we should bring them before God and replace them with His truth. A Christian with a sanctified mind does not allow temptation to control his life but chooses to walk according to the Spirit. As we surrender our minds to Christ, He gives us wisdom, peace, self-control, and strength to live a life that pleases Him.

Scripture: “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
>2 Corinthians 10:5.

PURITY IN CHRISTIAN LIFE

Hear this:

Purity is an important part of living a Christian life. God wants us to keep our hearts, minds, words, and actions clean before Him. As Christians, we must be careful about the things we watch, the people we follow, the words we speak, and the choices we make. A pure life does not mean that we never make mistakes, but it means that we turn away from sin and continue to seek God. When our hearts are pure, we can hear God's voice more clearly and live according to His Word.

Scripture: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” >Matthew 5:8.

Living in purity also requires self-control and a strong relationship with Christ. We must not allow temptation, bad company, or worldly desires to control our lives. The Bible teaches us to run away from sin and follow righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Every day gives us a chance to make better choices and become more like Christ. Let us therefore protect our hearts, honour God with our bodies, and live in a way that shows His goodness to others.

Scripture: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
> Psalm 51:10.
