This was how we climaxed the WAAGYA Conference
Topic: “Holy to the Lord”
Preacher: Rev. Dr. Abenda Tamba
Key scriptures included Exodus 28:38, 1 Peter 1:14–16, and 1 Peter 2:9.
The session on Sunday emphasized the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity and His role in baptizing, empowering, and transforming believers to impact the world.
The central message was that holiness is essential to Christian life and service. Without holiness, believers cannot truly please God. The church must therefore teach and demonstrate holiness, especially in a generation that needs godly examples.
Holiness does not mean sinless perfection. Christians may make mistakes, but they must turn back to God, repent, and refuse to continue living in sin. God’s command is: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
The speaker also stressed that believers are set apart for God and their Christianity should not be hidden. Every member, department, and leader of the church should live in a way that visibly honors God.
Key takeaway: We cannot effectively impact the world for God without living lives that reflect His holiness. Our holiness should be visible in our character, conduct, leadership, and daily lives.
