🕊️ THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS
Where does true and lasting happiness come from?🤔
A college senior once said:⬇️
⚠️«“I am twenty-three. I have lived through enough experiences to be old, and I am already fed up with life.”»
A famous Grecian dancer of yesteryear expressed a similar emptiness:⬇️
⚠️«“I have never been alone without my hands trembling, my eyes filling with tears, and my heart aching for a peace and happiness I have never found.”»
And one of the world’s greatest statesmen once said to a preacher:⬇️
⚠️«“I am an old man. Life has lost all meaning. I am ready to take a fearful leap into the unknown. Young man, can you give me a ray of hope?”»
👉These three voices—the young, the accomplished, and the elderly—point to one profound truth:
✍️You can have many things and still not have happiness.
Our world continues its endless search for the fountain of happiness.
We pursue education, wealth, careers, relationships, recognition, possessions, pleasure, influence, and power, believing that the next achievement will finally satisfy the deepest longing of our hearts.
😭But sadly, the more knowledge we acquire, the less wisdom we sometimes demonstrate.
The more economic security we gain, the more dissatisfaction we can experience.
The more pleasure and entertainment we pursue, the more difficult it becomes to find genuine contentment.
⚠️WHY?
Because the human heart was created for God, and nothing in this world can permanently satisfy a heart that is searching for its Creator.
✍️Man is like a restless sea—finding a little pleasure here, a little peace there, and a temporary sense of satisfaction, but never finding anything permanent.
So the search continues.⬇️
Some pursue happiness through wealth.
Others through fame.
Others through relationships.
Others through pleasure, power, career, possessions, or social status.
➡️And in that pursuit, people have sometimes been willing to lie, cheat, steal, fight, kill, and even wage wars, believing that power, wealth, and pleasure will eventually bring them peace, security, and happiness.
But there is a question we must all answer:
⚠️WHERE CAN TRUE HAPPINESS BE FOUND?
The Bible gives us the answer:✅
📖 “Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.” — Psalm 144:15
✅True happiness is not ultimately found in what we possess, but in Whom we know.
It is not found merely in material abundance, but in a right relationship with God.
Jesus asked:✅
📖 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36
👉The world may offer temporary pleasure, but Christ offers lasting peace.
The world may offer entertainment, but Christ offers true joy.
👉The world may offer possessions, but Christ offers eternal riches.
The world may promise satisfaction, but Christ alone can satisfy the deepest hunger of the human soul.
Jesus declared:✅
📖 “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” — John 15:11
❤️ THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS ENDS WHEN THE HEART FINDS CHRIST.
✍️If you have searched everywhere and still feel empty…
If you have achieved much but still lack peace…
If you have possessions but no contentment…
If you have pleasure but no lasting joy…
⚠️Do not stop searching until you find Christ.
👉The greatest discovery a human being can make is not wealth, fame, education, influence, or success.
IT IS FINDING GOD.✅
And when the heart truly finds God, it discovers something the world cannot manufacture, purchase, or guarantee:
✅PEACE. JOY. CONTENTMENT. HOPE. AND ETERNAL LIFE.
🙏 Have you found the happiness that only Christ can give?
🙏If this message speaks to your heart, share it with someone who may be searching for happiness in the wrong places.
