Grateful for an amazing time at the CTMI Youth Camp held in Bungoma from 22nd–24th April, under the ministry of Pastor Boniface Mukami. It was a time of learning, reflection, growth, and drawing closer to God.
One of the key lessons came from 1 John 2:14 — reminding us as young people that we are strong, the Word of God lives in us, and we have overcome the evil one. We learned that as youths, we must overcome the flesh, the devil, and the world. The flesh is always against the spirit, but through the growth of God’s revelation in us, we can stand firm. We were encouraged to flee from the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16).
Another powerful message was about denying ourselves and carrying the cross. Jesus already paid the price for our salvation, but we each have a personal journey of faith and obedience. No one can carry this responsibility for us — not even a pastor. Following Christ means denying ourselves daily, standing on the Word of God as our foundation, and running the race with endurance (Hebrews 12:1).
This camp reminded us that salvation is more than activities or outward service — it is a life of surrender, obedience, and allowing God to work in us.
Thank you to everyone who made this camp memorable. Truly a life-changing experience.
