What a day it has been. Our Church has been so busy with comings and goings and to see the whole concept start to come together is just so amazing. Banners are displayed, bunting is up and we so look forward to seeing many of you over the weekend.
Just a reminder that all proceeds will be split equally between ourselves and Garden House Hospice Care and so thank you for your support and your generosity. 😀

After months of preparation for our flower festival this coming weekend things are now starting to happen in our Church. The grass in our Churchyard has been mown, chairs removed from the side aisles, programmes printed, display tables brought over from our Church Hall, publicity banners and posters have arrived from Garden House Hospice and we are all just so excited. A huge thank you to all those in our community who are taking part as we could not have done it without you. We will keep you posted with more insights over the coming days. 😀

The Peace of Wild Things
Wendell Berry (5/8/34 - 31/8/26)

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
