The Peace of Wild Things
Wendell Berry (5/8/34 - 31/8/26)

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my childrenโ€™s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

A huge thank you to the Community of Stotfold. We had such a lovely time today meeting so many people. It was explained to us that we would be left for others to admire at our upcoming Wednesday Community Coffee Morning 10.30 to 12 noon and perhaps later in the week so please do not worry about us over the next few days!!

Reaching out in fellowship, hoping to see you again soon. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Today must be the day. We have just been helped into the car. We are going to St Mary's Church Car Park where there will also be our gazebo and maps of the Walking Market and the other Scarecrow sites to hand out. Looking forward to seeing you 10am to 3pm. Remember there are also stalls, refreshments and toilets in our Church Hall. Weather permitting we think there might also be giant games in our Churchyard. It is all so exciting !! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Our annual Pet Service will be held as part of our Families at Four Service this coming Sunday at 4pm. It will be held in the Churchyard on the south side of our church. We will provide chairs. In the unlikely event that it rains we will hold the service inside. One of our ministers will bless your pet and if your pet is shy, please bring a photo or even a toy.
