Our focused on the Book of Daniel, exploring the lives and experiences of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

From interpreting King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and deciphering the handwriting on the wall to being delivered from the fiery furnace and the lions’ den, we witnessed the power of unwavering faith in God, obedience to God’s Word, faithfulness to His precepts, and a consistent life of prayer and devotion.

Daniel, in particular, was known for his diligence, honesty, faithfulness, uprightness, and incorruptible integrity. His unwavering commitment to God and his deep personal devotion set him apart, even in the midst of challenging circumstances.
The Word of God was their source of wisdom and inspiration. Through their steadfast faith and trust in Him, God revealed His power and sovereignty, leading to proclamations that He alone is worthy of reverence and worship.

In Daniel 2, we find Daniel’s heartfelt praise to God for granting him wisdom and revealing the mystery of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. This reminds us that our gifts and abilities come from God and can be used to fulfil His divine purposes and advance His Kingdom.

Our worship concluded on a joyful note with an animated musical recap of Daniel’s remarkable story, bringing these timeless lessons of faith, courage, integrity, and devotion to life.

May we, like Daniel and his companions, remain steadfast in our faith, unwavering in our devotion, and committed to honouring God in every circumstance.

Our for the week is Dave Bilbrough's "I am a new Creation"

Our began with the powerful hymn “These Are the Days of Elijah,” taking us on a journey through the lives of key Old Testament figures—Elijah, Moses, Ezekiel, David, and Daniel—and the lessons their stories hold for us today. We explored how, in the Old Testament, God's acts of deliverance were often demonstrated through His relationship with the nation of Israel.

However, in the post-Calvary era, the message of the Gospel extends beyond a nation to every individual through Jesus Christ. Our salvation is personal, and so is our responsibility to live out our faith. Like Daniel, we must remember who we are and stand firmly for what we believe in. We reflected on the challenges that we face today as Christians, and how we can be relevant to God today through our actions and response. We must hold on to the identity we have received in Christ and never lose sight of why the Church exists or forget the joy of our salvation.

We are called to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
May Psalm 19:14 be our constant prayer:
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Today, we welcomed Julia Pascoe from Jews for Jesus, who came to speak to us and our were very insightful.

Julia explored the prophecies concerning the Messiah in the Bible and the Torah, as well as their fulfilment. Bible passages such as 2 Corinthians 5:17–21, Genesis 3:15, Deuteronomy 18:15–19, Isaiah 53:3–5, Micah 5:2, and Psalm 16:9–10 were used to demonstrate that Jesus is the promised Messiah.

We also learnt about the impact of Jews for Jesus in spreading the message of the Messiah. During the service, our church family learnt some Jewish terms used in worship, and we concluded the service with the Birkat Kohanim (the Priestly Blessing), found in Numbers 6:24–26.
