While money raised at Cadeby Fete goes some way to helping us maintain the church and churchyard, we still rely on a lot of volunteer goodwill to keep things looking as good as they do. Thank you to all our lovely neighbours who worked so hard at our most recent churchyard tidy morning - and to those who made the tea to keep them going!

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to our Harvest collection for Hinckley Area Foodbank. Cadeby's donations weighed-in at 57.6kg, which equates to a value of more than £165 and could provide more than 130 meals for people in crisis across our borough. In addition, £88 in cash was collected for the cause at our Harvest service, to allow Foodbank co-ordinators to buy items they most urgently need. Cadeby Church is a permanent collection point for Hinckley Area Foodbank and is opened daily.

Preparing to celebrate harvest at Cadeby Church with a service on Sunday (27th September) at 3pm followed by refreshments (apple pies and flapjacks, anyone?) We are collecting donations of non-perishable food and drink to be given to Hinckley Area Foodbank and any money given at church on the day will also be donated to Hinckley Area Foodbank to allow organisers to buy items that they are most urgently in need of. If you would like to donate but cannot attend the service, the church is open daily, with a Foodbank collection box by the font.

Thanks to a great piece in The Hinckley Times on the record-breaking raffle at this year's Cadeby Fete, Cadeby can now boast its very own Page 3 Girls!

We are so well-supported at Cadeby Fete that we like to share the love when our own fundraising has finished. We are pleased to report that clothes, white elephant items and some books left over from the day will now help to raise money for Cancer Research UK, LOROS Hospice, Age UK, Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland and Leicester Animal Aid

The biggest money-spinner for Cadeby Fete was our star raffle, led by our top team who sold more than 2,000 tickets, generating more than £2,000 for church funds. This would not have been possible without the wonderful support of our prize donors, to whom we are extremely grateful. All prize winners have been notified. We hope you will enjoy your treats!
