Sunday 3rd May at 11am: Monthly service including communion. Regulars; not so regular attenders; and newcomers - everyone is welcome - young and not-so-young.
If you are around over the weekend but can't make the service you're still very welcome to visit church and churchyard - and take a look at the forget-me-nots.

Saturday 2nd May from 10:30 for an hour - church cleaning. If you can help, we will be enormously grateful.

INVITATION – Sunday 12th APRIL at 10:30am - informal church - a chance to discover more about church and Christianity. This is the first of seven Sundays in April and May where we'll be exploring more about Christianity. Along with a hymn or two; a prayer or two; and most definitely with some coffee and cake - there is space to ask the big questions about life, who Jesus is, why he came, and (given that it’s just been Easter) why it was no coincidence that his crucifixion coincided with the Jewish Passover festival. There is always something new to discover about Christianity, so the invitation is for everyone: from regulars to first timers; and young to not-so-young. Please do come along.

On Good Friday (3rd April) in church there will be a chance to get away from your Easter preparations. We are holding a short time for meditation and reflection at 3pm.

Please come and join us. You are all very welcome.

On the cross, the bible tells us that Jesus cried out in a loud voice "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus was quoting the opening line of Psalm 22. He wasn't losing his faith, he was quoting scripture and effectively telling those assembled to think about the prophecies of King David. Psalm 22 also says "they pierced my hands and my feet" and "cast lots for my clothing". Really quite remarkable.

Please join us at 10am this Sunday (15th March) to celebrate Mothering Sunday and give thanks for everything our mothers do and have done for us.

There will be a (very) short service followed by refreshments and an opportunity to make (and take!) a posy of flowers.

We do appreciate that Mothering Sunday is not a joyful day for everyone. Our thoughts will also be with those whose mothers are no longer with us; mothers who have lost their children; and those who would like to have been mothers but couldn’t be.

It's a hive of activity in the churchyard today:
1) time to trim the hedge;
2) the start of the grass cutting season; and
3) work continues on the improvements to the main path.

We're making improvements to the main path through the churchyard from the gate on Church Drive to the gate on Church Lane going round the east and north sides of church. We're able to do this with the help of s106 funding. The contractors will seek to keep the disruption to a minimum but we apologise for any inconvenience. Short term pain for long term gain and all that. Feel free to walk on the grass but watch out for the gravestones!
