Finally! 🎉🥳😍
This week has been one of those moments that makes you pause and reflect on the journey.
After almost five years of dreaming, planning, fundraising, setbacks and an extraordinary amount of hard work from so many people, West Ealing Community Grocery is finally open.
Seeing the grocery filled with people over the last couple of days has been incredibly special. Around 80 local households signed up as members and completed their first shop. It was wonderful to see people enjoying the celebrations and, more importantly, beginning to make this place their own.
This has never just been about opening a grocery. It’s about creating a place where people can access affordable food with dignity, build friendships and find support right in the heart of the community.
A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, partners, funders, , , local churches and everyone who has played a part in making this happen. We simply couldn’t have done it without you.
Buildings don’t change communities. People do. This grocery simply gives people a place to do that together. ❤️
