โจ๐คฉKettering Street Pastors Patrol Report โ Friday & Saturday Night ๐๐
Another busy weekend supporting people across Ketteringโs night-time economy.
Thank you to all our volunteers, prayer supporters, venue staff, CCTV operators and emergency services partners who help make Kettering a safer place. ๐
๐ Friday Night
๐ A warm, friendly and good-natured evening with several positive interactions. Many members of the public expressed appreciation for Street Pastors and the work we do in the community.
โ We spent time with two homeless men, providing hot drinks, food, encouragement and support.
๐ฉโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ We met two young women enjoying their first night out since becoming mothers. We had a meaningful conversation and were able to pray for their children and for a safe and enjoyable evening.
๐ We spoke with a local doorman about spiritual matters. He shared that he was living on his own, and we were able to listen, encourage him and assure him of our prayers.
๐ We spent time with a gentleman going through a particularly difficult period in his life. We listened to his concerns, discussed possible sources of support and promised to pray for him and a family member currently living with cancer.
๐ Towards the end of the night, CCTV contacted us regarding a young woman who had become heavily intoxicated. We were able to assist her and her partner, ensuring she was cared for, helped into a taxi and got home safely.

๐ Saturday Night
๐ A busy evening with lots of people enjoying the town centre and a lovely atmosphere around Market Square.
๐ฎ A Police Sergeant who works across several towns visited our base, thanked the team for all they do and discussed the work of Street Pastors and the Safer Night Out Van.
๐จ Home Dzert were still clearing up after a very long but successful day.
๐ค We met a man working in one of the venues for the weekend who had never heard of Street Pastors before. He was very positive about our ethos and community work.
๐ฌ We spoke with a man facing a range of domestic difficulties who appreciated our faith and was open to God.
๐ We also met a couple who are due to be married soon in Nottingham.
๐ฝ๏ธ The Border Clash restaurant, after a very busy evening, kindly invited Street Pastors to dine with them anytime.
๐ We spent time with a young man who had recently moved to Kettering from Kent and was dealing with a difficult situation at home. He appreciated the conversation and prayer.
๐ซ We met a young man who recognised us from our school patrols while waiting for his dad to collect him.
๐ฑ We noted the two public safety units in Kettering that offer free calls, a 999 emergency button and charging facilities:
๐ Newlands Centre
๐ Taxi Rank area
๐ถ One of the pubs had a live band and had been busy throughout the day and evening.
๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ We met a mum of five enjoying a well-earned night out with friends.
๐ We spent time with a gentleman struggling following a family bereavement. He asked for prayer, and we were able to give him a Bible and let him know weโd be around if he wanted to talk again.
๐ We helped search for a member of the publicโs lost keys, although sadly they were not found.
๐ We met some young parents enjoying a night out who were feeling guilty about being away from their children. We hope our conversation and a few lollipops brought some encouragement.
