❓AUTUMN ALPHA❓

Got questions about faith, life, Jesus or other things? Ask them at Alpha 😊

Alpha is a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Everyone’s welcome. No matter your background, beliefs, or whether you're not a Christian or you've been a Christian for years- you’re invited!

Our Autumn course begins on Wednesday 16th September, meeting weekly until Wednesday 2nd December- 7.30-9.30pm. There will be an Alpha weekend away on Saturday 7th-Sunday 8th December.

We run streams of the course in ENGLISH & CANTONESE, plus there are options to be a part of a RECOVERY OR STUDENT group. Choose your preference when you book on 😊

🌭🍔 GENERATIONS UNITED BBQ 🍔🌭

This is an event for the WHOLE family!

Book onto the Generations United BBQ on Saturday 12th September. There will be food, games, crafts, and a chance to get to know others. From the babies to the grandparents, there will be something for everyone!

Please book a ticket for everyone attending. The bookings page will tell you what is included in the ticket price. You get a lot for your money! 😊

🙏 PRAY FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE 🙏

On Saturday (22nd Aug), 15 of our Younger Youth will be travelling to Hampshire for the start of Dynamic. Dynamic is a Youth camp run between Chichester Baptist Church and Millmead, alongside 3 other churches from Hampshire. Overall, there will be 64 young people, 26 leaders (with some Youth helpers), and 4 cooks. The leaders, including 9 leaders and the 4 cooks from Millmead, will be heading down tomorrow evening (Fri 21st) to set up, bond, and pray for the camp ahead of the young people's arrival in the morning.

Please be praying for them. Specific prayer points are on the image 🙏

We can't wait to hear about it when they get back.

We will be welcoming Stephen Thatcher as our guest speaker. Stephen is an Army Chaplain and Rector of a local parish.

🍹🍎 WOMEN'S EVENING 🍎🍹

Ladies, you're invited our next Women's Evening on Friday 11th September.

There will be great food, live music, opportunities to chat to others or meet new people, and take part in a workshop. There's something for everyone!

🙏 PRAY FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE 🙏

Tomorrow (Weds 5th), 30 of our Older Youth (yr9-13s), 7 leaders & 3 cooks will be travelling to Stafford for Limitless Festival. They will be spending the week camping, worshipping amongst approximately 7000 people, spending time together, and eating lots of food!

Please be praying for them. Specific prayer points are on the image 🙏

We can't wait to hear about it when they get back.

🙏 PRAY FOR HOLIDAY CLUB 🙏

Tomorrow morning, over 85 primary-aged children and over 35 volunteers will be flooding into the church building ready to start HOLIDAY CLUB! 🥳

Please be praying for Lydia, Jenny and all the team, as well as all of the children and their families for a very special few days (particularly for the families who don't attend church).

Some particular prayer points you could use:
🙏Health and safety for all attending (children and adults)
🙏Lydia and all the leaders leading the various activities, dramas, worship, and more
🙏Good engagement and fun for the children
🙏For everyone to go away knowing more about God and feeling loved and inspired

We'll be finding out what everyone got up to on Sunday (2nd Aug), in our special Holiday Club all-age service at 10am. Come and join us 😊

🔥 IGNITE SERVICE 🔥

🚨REPOST🚨 If you saw this post yesterday, this is an update to say that the service will be in the Café, not the Auditorium!

This Sunday evening is our 🔥Ignite Service🔥, where we give opportunities to members of the congregation to share short talks or reflections as a way of inspiring and IGNITING our faith!

We'll be hearing from some of the group who participated in the pilot of a theology foundation course through Westminster Theological Centre (WTC). They will share mini-talks on topics that inspired them through the course, as well as sharing about the course itself.

Join us at 6.30pm for what will be a great service 😊
