Diary of a believer
July 31st 2026
It's been a lovely day. My hubby and I plus 2 friends met up with members of Frome Christian fellowship at a cafe. We had coffee, conversation and lots of laughter.
It was really nice as I got to know one member of our church much better. We hire a hall for our services so we have to clear up quickly and leave for the next clients arriving. I haven’t had much chance to get to know her until today. We don't like being strangers to one another at church. In the bible it says we are brothers and sisters in Christ so to us that says we are to be like family to each other.
Afterwards we popped into Iceland to get the puddings for our church lunch on Sunday and another lady we know was doing her shopping. This lady lives on her own. She invited us to have coffee with her so we decided to be a blessing and hang around town with her. It was nice to have a good chat with her to. I truly believe that God orders our steps for us and it was his plan for us to bump into each other.
Psalm 37 v 23
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
This Sunday we are not meeting in the hall in Frome but our community hall in Chilcompton on the estate where afew of us live. This gives us an opportunity to relax after the service and have a meal together. Once again building positive relationships with one another. Everyone brings a dish of food and places it on the buffet table. There's always plenty to go around.
Talking about buffet tables, we are all invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb.
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!;” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
Revelation 19:7-9

Many girls dream of the day they will be a beautiful bride, wear a white dress, and marry the man of their dreams. Did you know Jesus is our bridegroom, the savior of our dreams. He is preparing a place for us and coming back soon to take us to the greatest celebration ever! In Revelation it’s called the marriage supper of the Lamb and the bride is the church – which just means everyone who has decided to follow Jesus with all their heart, mind and soul.

Would you like to have eternal life and go to the marriage supper of the Lamb? You are invited. Everyone one is invited. No one is left out.
Romans 10:9-10 states that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Here is a prayer to do just that.
A prayer for forgiveness and salvation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit is a personal call to God to admit your mistakes, ask for mercy, and accept Jesus as your Savior and receive strength from the Holy spirit to follow Jesus and not the world.

• "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I am sorry for the things I have done wrong."
• "I believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins and that He rose again."
• "Please forgive me and clean my heart. I accept Your gift of salvation."
• Fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit to help me to follow You and live for You from this day on. In Jesus' name, Amen."

• When you give your life to Christ, the most important steps to take are to pray daily, read the Bible, and get baptized. These actions help you grow closer to God and start your new journey.
Grow Through Prayer and the Bible
• Talk to God every day in prayer like a friend. Tell Him what you need and thank Him for His help.
• Read the Bible to learn God's words. Start with the Gospel of John or the book of Matthew to learn about Jesus.
Connect with Other Believers
• Find a local church where people love God and study the Bible. A pastor can help guide you.
• Get baptized in water as a public sign that you belong to Jesus.
Live Out Your Faith
• Turn away from old habits and choose to love and help other people.
• Tell your family and friends about your choice to follow Jesus.

Our church had such a blessed by God afternoon in Frome Park today.
4 hours of fun, sunshine, happiness, chatting and unity.
A bring and share picnic. As usual everyone done us proud with thier wonderful donations of edible delights. Ample to go around and have seconds!
We had a game of quoits which was a great laugh. It was won in style by Jan so the gold medal goes to him!
School assembly bangers. We were enjoying singing them so much that we belted out a good dozen!
Shine Jesus shine, All things bright and beautiful, this little light of mine plus He's got the whole world in his hands to name a few.
We were so pleased to be joined by friends from Holy Trinity Church and visitors that we had personally invited along such as members of Gateway club, guests from Chilcompton plus a lovely lady whom we met for the first time yesterday in the park.
One extra song that we were pleased to sing was 'God son loved the world' which portrays the full gospel message.

For God so loved the world
That He gave His only Son
And whosoever believes will not perish
They shall have eternal life

I shall wait upon the Lord
I shall wait upon His word
And by His grace, I am released
And by His grace, I am redeemed

By His precious blood, I have been set free
For the glory of Jesus' name
I surrender all, now to Christ alone
In Jesus, I am saved
I shall hold to the cross
I shall hold to God alone
For His love has salvaged me
For His love has set me free

We pray hearts were touched for Jesus.

A thought from our service today
I think you could spend 100 years studying the Bible and you would still find out so much more exciting things about God and his people.
The acronym for the word bible is
B for best
I for instructions
B for before
L for leaving
E for earth
The bible is a book of the best instructions before leaving earth and it is inspired by God.
In 2 Timothy 3 v 16 to 17 it says
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work

There really is so much good advice in the Bible which I have found when followed definitely makes life go more smoothly in all aspects of life.
