Yip, some of us know how this feels 😁
We really appreciate that taking the young ones along can have its own challenges on a Sunday...and feelings from the parents can feel like "is this worth it?"
It certainly is, not just because it's laying a solid foundation into their lives, from a young age...
But the truth is, church isn't the same without them.
They bring their own life to the party...they aren't too noisy either or disruptive..
Jesus always welcomed the kids, sometimes against even his closest disciples advice.
And so do we...
So parents, don't feel the pressure of "what must the church think" when your kid is hiding under the seat....asking questions and running around....
It's better with them...
And we get on fine!
Bring your kids to church, even if it looks like this.
One day she’ll sit quietly through the entire service.
One day she won’t need snacks, coloring books, or to be carried out halfway through.
One day she’ll be grown.
I’d rather have a child who grew up in church than a child who only started attending once she was old enough to act like an adult.
If that means some Sundays look messy, then they look messy.
If your toddler spends more time under the church chairs than in the church chair… you’re probably doing just fine. 😂
Keep bringing them.
They may wiggle, crawl under chairs, drop snacks, ask questions at the wrong time, or need to be carried out more than once. But they are learning something important: that church is where we gather, worship, and belong ❤️
