On Wednesdays I thought, for a change, it might be good to visit the websites and pages of other Christ Churches in the Episcopal family. Wherever they are in the world, however big or small, all churches need prayer.
We can use the words from the Gospel reading we heard recently to encourage us: "Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one."
So today we are visiting Christ Church, in Pensacola, Florida.
They say: "Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally."

So, why not pay them a visit at their website: https://www.christ-church.net/
or their page: https://www.facebook.com/ChristChurchPensacola

You could leave an encouraging message, or prayer, or just praise God ("just"?!) for his vibrant Church across the world?

Here is a possible prayer:
Gracious and Loving God,
We lift before You the congregation and priests of Christ Church Episcopal. We thank You for their calling to be a community that experiences, embraces, and extends Your unconditional love to all people.
Bless their priests with wisdom, faithfulness, and compassion as they proclaim Your Word, celebrate the sacraments, and shepherd Your people. Strengthen them in times of joy and challenge, and fill them daily with the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, deepen the faith of the congregation. May their worship draw them closer to Your heart, their fellowship reflect Your grace, and their service reveal Christ’s love to the world. Help them to welcome all who enter their doors with kindness, dignity, and hope.
As they seek to experience Your love, embrace Your saving presence, and extend their hands in service to those within and beyond their walls, make them a beacon of light in Pensacola and throughout their community.
Grant courage to those serving in outreach ministries, comfort to those who are suffering, encouragement to those who are weary, and joy to all who gather in Your name.

May Christ Church continue to be a place where hearts are healed, faith is nurtured, and Your love is made known through truth and action. We ask all these things through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A reminder that God has given us all this as the Spirit comes to us. Rejoice and take comfort!

Yesterday our service was led by Lee Williams, our Senior Warden, and he gave this homily:

Sunday is Trinity Sunday, and our service, on Sunday 31st May, will be a service of Morning Worship, led by a member of the congregation. Everyone is welcome!
The readings for this Sunday are
Genesis 1:1-2:4a
2 Corinthians 13:11-13
Matthew 28:16-20
Psalm 8

There will be coffee & sweet treats after the service, so please stay and talk to people you know - and people you don't!

You can find the church at 1 bis Av. Jean Heitz, 63130 Royat. It is down a short side street, just behind the Post Office , which is on the corner of Boulevard Barrieu (D944) and Ave Jean Heitz. There is a road sign, on the left hand side of Ave Jean Heitz (looking uphill) pointing the way, marked "Temple" (The French word for a Protestant church) There is also (usually) a blue sandwich board on Avenue Jean Heitz showing where the church is.

Should you prefer to join us by Zoom, then please contact us by email (address on church website, under "Church Services") and we can give you details

Thursday is the day when we focus on Climate & Creation Care, encouraging you to consider how we might be more involved in preserving this beautiful planet that God has given into our stewardship
Here's a good news story from the Episcopal Church in the US

Diverting funds from mission and ministry outreach to building upgrades makes for difficult conversations. But by 2018, St. Martin's had reduced its carbon footprint by about 60%, its annual natural gas bill by 50% and grid electricity bills by 75%, with overall energy costs reduced by nearly 20%......

We can use the words from the Gospel reading we heard recently to encourage us: "Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one."
So today we are visiting Christ Church, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
They say: "Christ Church Greenwich is an Episcopal Church in the heart of Greenwich with a commitment to deeply love its neighbors and follow Christ."

Their Website is at https://www.christchurchgreenwich.org/
Their page is at: https://www.facebook.com/christchurchgreenwich

Why not pay them a visit, leave an encouraging message, or find out more about what they are doing in their community?

Almighty God,
Bless the mission and daily work of Christ Church Greenwich.
Grant strength and vision to all who serve there—
clergy, staff, volunteers, teachers, musicians, caregivers, and faithful members of the congregation.
May their labor bear fruit in acts of mercy, hospitality, formation, and justice.
Let their worship draw people closer to You,
their outreach bring hope to those in need,
and their fellowship reflect the reconciling love of Christ.
In moments of challenge, give them perseverance;
in times of growth, give them humility and gratitude;
and in all things, keep them rooted in faith, hope, and love.
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
may Christ Church continue to be a faithful witness to Your grace in Greenwich and beyond.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Christ Church Greenwich is a member of the worldwide Anglican communion – inclusive, a faith leader in Greenwich, forward-thinking yet traditional. We welcome all denominations to our table.

Your CCCF's Facebook Administrator is scheduling these posts in advance, as she'll be away in Liverpool visiting her mother & sister next week (or rather, as you read this, this week! ) Thus, she doesn't know what Nick will have preached about, so here is a link back to 2022 and the homily given on Pentecost Sunday that year
