Yesterday's Gospel reading was Matthew 18:15-20

The Power of Reconciliation
Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:15-20 remind us that reconciliation is at the heart of Christian community. When conflict arises, He calls us first to private, humble conversation—seeking restoration, not condemnation. If unresolved, we involve others, not to shame, but to uphold truth with love. Even in the hardest cases, the Church stands as a place of accountability and grace.

Yet the passage ends with a stunning promise: "Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." This isn’t just about discipline—it’s about presence. Jesus meets us in our messy, honest efforts to live as His body. Whether we’re reconciling, praying, or simply gathering, He is there.

So let’s be a people who pursue peace, speak truth kindly, and trust that Christ is with us in every step toward unity. After all, the God who binds and loosens in heaven is the same God who draws near to us in love.

This Sunday, 6th September, we are back to our usual time of 10.30. This will be a Eucharist and we rejoice that there will also be a baptism.
Everyone is welcome and we would love to see you! There will be a pot luck lunch after the service, so please stay and talk to people you know - and people you don't! If you can bring some food to share, that would be great, but YOU are more important!

The readings for this Sunday are
Exodus 12:1-14
Psalm 149
Romans 13:8-14
Matthew 18:15-20

You can find the church at 1 bis Av. Jean Heitz, 63130 Royat. It is down a short side street, just behind the Post Office , which is on the corner of Boulevard Barrieu (D944) and Ave Jean Heitz. There is a road sign, on the left hand side of Ave Jean Heitz (looking uphill) pointing the way, marked "Temple" (The French word for a Protestant church) There is also (usually) a blue sandwich board on Avenue Jean Heitz showing where the church is.

Should you prefer to join us by Zoom, then please contact us by email (address on church website, under "Church Services") and we can give you details

WEDNESDAY means it's "BIGGING UP CHRIST CHURCHES EVERYWHERE" day.
I thought it might be good to visit the websites and pages of other Christ Churches in the Anglican family. Wherever they are in the world, however big or small, all churches need prayer.
We are all part of God's family, walking together on a pilgrimage of faith. There is a prayer at the end of this post.
Today we are visiting Christ Church, Frederica, on St Simon's Island, Georgia.
They say: "At the heart of our gatherings is a pursuit of God's presence, where we learn of our purpose and our lives are transformed. We are a family of hope-filled imperfect followers of Jesus, eager to encounter God through prayer, sacrament, and service, and to join in building for the Kingdom of God. "

Their website is here: https://www.ccfssi.org/
And their page is here: https://www.facebook.com/christchurchfrederica/

Why not visit their site, or FB page and leave an encouraging message - or, at least, pray for the congregation & ministry team

Gracious and ever-living God, we give thanks for Christ Church, Frederica — for the faithful who have worshipped there since the days of Charles Wesley, and for the parish that continues to take root and bear fruit on St. Simons Island.
Bless their Priest, the clergy team, the Vestry, and every staff member and volunteer who gives of their time and talent. Pour out your Spirit upon them, that they may lead with wisdom, compassion, and courage.
We pray for their mission — that this congregation would keep experiencing your love and sharing your presence with the world. Strengthen their ministries of mercy, and may they widen their circles in love and carry the Good News of Jesus to their community and beyond
Root them deeply in Christ, that they may grow, serve, and bear lasting fruit. Amen.
