Music at the American Cathedral in Paris

Like the Program Year year, the Choir year begins in September and goes through June. All classes and rehearsals are conducted in English.

Our programs for children, youth, and adults provide a foundation of musical skills in a friendly and open environment and in the context of the Anglican musical tradition. There are no classes or rehearsals during the school holidays (All Saints, Christmas, Winter and Spring) for youth and children. Adult Choir, Thursdays, 7:00 PM-9:00 PM

r: Wednesdays, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

Introduction to Music Class: Wednesdays, 2:00 PM-4:00 PM *taught in collaboration with the American Conservatory of Paris

There are also weekly concerts sponsored by Les Arts George V, the cathedral's arts organization on Sundays at 3 PM.

This Saturday, our organist Andrew Dewar filled the Narthex with beautiful music on our Orgues Thomas chamber organ (one of our temporary instruments), blessing and entertaining guests at the weekly Saturday Sandwich Ministry.

We are grateful for the gift of music that brings warmth, joy, and community to the table. 🥪✨

From Workshop to Worship ✨🎶

Just minutes ago, the new Nave Organ, the first phase of our organ renewal project, left the workshop and began its journey by lorry to the cathedral. Years of vision, craftsmanship, and generosity are now on the move. We can’t wait to welcome these magnificent pipes and casings home and hear them fill the cathedral with sound. Stay with us as the story unfolds….

For those early risers among you, we will gather on Monday at 8AM to say a prayer of gratitude for the donors, the workers and the ministry of music.

✨ First look at our renewed cathedral organ ✨

We’re delighted to share the first images of the newly renewed instrument at the American Cathedral. Featured here are the new mobile console and the nave organ cases, marking Phase I of this exciting project.

This milestone is the result of a remarkable collaboration, and we look forward to welcoming the public for worship, concerts and events once the organ is installed.

✨A new chapter in our musical history! ✨

We’re excited to launch our new chorister program, offering children in Paris a unique choral education rooted in the Episcopal cathedral tradition. Starting in September 2025, choristers will rehearse weekly on Sunday afternoons and sing periodically at midweek evening services throughout the academic term.
