Dear Church family and friends,
John 16:25-33 – the end of the Upper Room Discourse. Jesus explains everything, the disciples understand, and there is a happy end for everyone. Not quite. Jesus leaves his disciples with encouragement and reassurance because He knows the fear that will be in the disciples’ hearts. While they acknowledge that He is no longer speaking figuratively, this knowledge does nothing to comfort them. This week in Church…
Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) meets on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. More information can be found in the WhatsApp group or by asking Pastor Johannes, Mona or Oliver. Another way you can get in touch is by writing to [email protected].
Mid-Week Bible Study is an online only event looking at the Kings of Israel. The next session takes place on Wednesday at 7pm.
Worship Service will take place on Sunday morning at its usual time of 11am in the Chapel Room at the FTH facilities. If you are not able to be there, you are more than welcome to join us on our livestream. After the service we will be firing up the grill and barbecuing some sausages! To make a ‘proper meal’ out of it, we invite you to bring sides, salads and desserts – and enjoy an extended time of fellowship with us. So that we have the right amount of sausages for everyone, we would be thankful if you could get in touch to tell us that you plan on joining us.
For a full list of all upcoming events at IBC Giessen, please take a look at the Church Calendar on our website: https://www.ibc-giessen.org/calendar/. If you require a link to our livestream or any other online activity we have coming up this week, please e-mail [email protected].
Have a blessed week!
