Psalm 72:15-19 (NLT); 15 Long live the king! May the gold of Sheba be given to him. May the people always pray for him and bless him all day long. 16 May there be abundant grain throughout the land, flourishing even on the hilltops. May the fruit trees flourish like the trees of Lebanon, and may the people thrive like grass in a field. 17 May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise. 18 Praise the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things. 19 Praise his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

The Cambridge Dictionary defines the word “yearning” as: “a strong feeling of wishing for something, especially something that you cannot have or get easily”. David wrote a number of Messianic-based Psalms that exhibited his yearning for the Messiah. His yearning was based on waiting for the Messiah to come. As children of God and of Light, our yearning differs in that our Messiah has come, shed His blood, died on the cross, was buried and rose on the 3rd day, then ascended to the Father to prepare our way to salvation. We carry Him in our hearts as well as the Holy Spirit, the Promise of the Father. Each day we walk in the Spirit, our yearning is increased not for Him to come, but to get closer to Him. Each day`s newness comes with such intense yearning, awe and wonder that we are part of the One Body that is our Messiah, and the feelings that come from that co-existence are hard to describe to non-believers. The joy and elation knowing He walks with us is so extreme and intense that we can only seek after a closer walk with Him!

Lord, my yearning is to take a closer walk with thee! The newness I walk in is such a refreshing breeze to my soul and inner spirit. I feel the cleansing of Your sacrifice and have such a deep love, respect and reverence toward You oh Lord. I ask Lord that all of us children of God get to experience You in all Your heavenly splendor, glory and magnificence. We are forever in Your debt for paving the way to the Father and for bringing the Promise of the Father to us. You are in our hearts and minds and we yearn for You daily! In the blessed name of our Savior and Messiah Jesus Christ we praise and pray, AMEN!!!

Mark 1:2-8 (NLT); 2 Just as the prophet Isaiah had written: “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way. 3 He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the LORD ’s coming! Clear the road for him!’ ” 4 This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven. 5 All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River. 6 His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals. 8 I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

Question for you to ponder today: What does it mean to you to be baptized in the Spirit? Once we give our lives to Jesus with a repentant and sincere heart, our anointing begins and our intro to walking in the Spirit is unfolded in our hearts. To some the anointing comes all at once, the revelation, vision, co-existence and experience for me came one morning as I was sitting by a castle reading Matthew. And, for the next 3 hours a surreal supernatural experience happened. I was awakened, reborn, and I felt it, I felt that newness that is Christ fill my soul. I felt the One Body, the GodWIFI hit me and my discernment was immediately elevated, my mindset changed, how I looked at the world changed and I knew deep in my heart He was with me. Each day since brings a newness and a reverence and I can only be in awe and wonder when I think about walking in the Spirit every day now. For others it may be gradual, but it happens to us all, all of us Jesus followers and believers and you might not even recognize it just one day realize He is with you.

Lord, my anointing was special and well accepted. My soul and inner being were so lost and so needed You, and as I asked, You answered and my rebirth started. To this day I feel so blessed and honored to carry You with me wherever I go and with whomever I meet. I am Yours and You are mine!!! Today Lord I ask that those of us believers that have not experienced their anointing or been awakened to knowing in their hearts that You are with them, do so and it be revealed to them. I wish for those to experience the joy, awe and wonder I do in their Spirit-walk. In Your name Jesus I praise and pray, AMEN!!!

Matthew 8:14-17 (NLT); 14 When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. 15 But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him. 16 That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. 17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

Kingdom authority, we as believers and followers of Jesus have the capacity to wield that same power and authority by our rebirth in the Spirit! In this example of how to serve, Jesus saw Peter`s mother-in-law who was sick and had compassion. He then touched her and her sickness left. Later that day many more came to Him and with a word, all were healed. The Holy Trinity is an amazing gift to be part of the One Body that is Christ. With our compassion, touch, word and prayer we also do not have to leave anyone wanting. We can and should carry on His healing ministry as we have the capability and as we are exposed to others who may be possessed, infirmed, sick, injured or diseased. All we need is that self-confidence and belief in our hearts we can do it, whether it be by touch or a command. All we need is Him, His name and belief!

Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done and be done in us, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine IS the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever, AMEN!!!

Matthew 10:34-39 (NLT); 34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. 35 ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!’ 37 “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. 38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. 39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

Faith is a funny thing at times, and how it directs us can be so unexpected. Jesus was a great example of that and tried to teach us how to go on our journey of faith to find the Truth. But, each of our paths are different as they are personalized to us and for us. The same goes for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not do the same thing for one as He does for another. He does what we need Him to do, or as God/Jesus wills. That may put one brother against another, or like in Matthew here, families may be divided based on faith. The only advice I can give to you is that for you to follow the Truth, follow the guidance and direction the Holy Spirit takes you in, then you cannot go wrong! Your heart will tell you as well which path to choose!

Lord, help all of us children of God when we have a division, or differences in our faith to keep our eyes on the prize – Jesus, You and salvation. Help us Lord to be righteous for righteousness sake and follow the path of Truth You so graciously and mercifully lay at our feet. And, when we do find some division between ourselves, help us to understand and respect the faith of others and not to judge based on our own understanding. Help us Lord to see beyond our own understanding to reach the path to the narrow gate. In Jesus name we praise and pray, AMEN!!!

John 8:12-16 (NLT); 12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” 13 The Pharisees replied, “You are making those claims about yourself! Such testimony is not valid.” 14 Jesus told them, “These claims are valid even though I make them about myself. For I know where I came from and where I am going, but you don’t know this about me. 15 You judge me by human standards, but I do not judge anyone. 16 And if I did, my judgment would be correct in every respect because I am not alone. The Father who sent me is with me.

As in Psalm 119:105 saying, “Thy Word, is like a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” – I correlate these verses in John 8 with Jesus because they are both true to those who choose Him. The Pharisees could not choose Him because they could not get past their own worldly understanding. With Jesus and the Spirit, we walk in the supernatural that is Jesus who is above worldly because the Father is in Him and He is in the Father. As Jesus followers, we could apply that to ourselves as well, Jesus is in us and we are in Jesus – we are a part of each other, the One Body that is Him, and He lights all of our paths that lead to the Father. I like to think of the light that is Jesus as a lighthouse, a beacon of hope for us all so we don`t find that impending shipwreck that life will steer us toward.

Lord Jesus, You are the One that lights our path and breathes life into our lungs into a body that was created by our Father! Without You we would be lost, we would flounder through life without any Truth, Light or hope. We are forever in Your debt for the mighty gift You gave us in the freedom from sin and its consequences. You are our Bread of Life and our Living Water – feed us, nurture us, prune us into the children that Your Father designed us to be. We are Yours and carry You and Your Light in our hearts and souls and in Your name Jesus we praise and pray, AMEN!!!

Proverbs 15:1-7 (NLT); 1 A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. 2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness. 3 The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good. 4 Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. 5 Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise. 6 There is treasure in the house of the godly, but the earnings of the wicked bring trouble. 7 The lips of the wise give good advice; the heart of a fool has none to give.

Solomon the wise was not the only writer of the Proverbs, but he wrote these for sure. I look at Proverbs as something to turn to when you need guidance on something, and you usually read them in a voice that is wise to you – I hear Proverbs in my dad`s voice, as I never knew my grandfathers. Verse 6 jumps out at me about treasure. It got me thinking about Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. I use my heart now in so many ways not just to love or other emotions, but as that is the home of the Triune in me, it is the source of all discernment, divine wisdom, what is right and righteous, and what we truly hold dear. Nothing can get past me unless it gets past my heart first! Next to the Word of God, it is my biggest tool in testing if something or someone is true and godly.

Lord, I know now why You helped us to open our hearts, as it is our biggest discernment tool to find the right path You chose for us. As works in progress, we have been listening to the Holy Spirit from our hearts and allowing it to actually change our course, test something whether or not it is Godly, and find the trueness or the evil that lurks around every corner. Our heart is where You reside. Help us Lord to test everything with Your Word and our hearts so we know the trueness to everything we do and everyone we meet. Thank You for find a worth and value in us to be able to trust us with this mighty gift – our hearts. In the name of Jesus with every beat of our hearts we praise and pray, AMEN!!!

Ephesians 2:1-5 (NLT); 1 Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. 4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

“But for the grace of God go I” as it was only by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus I was able to be saved! In that one sentence I just wrote, it sums up the life of a Christian and child of God. Sin has no hold on me anymore, and with the free-will choice God gave us, we have the right to wake up every day and choose Him, the Triune God as my God! Prophets like John the Baptist and Isaiah are one thing, as are the disciples, but the grace of God is what grants us the freedom we hold so dear! Bonds are broken, yokes removed and burned and we have been allowed to step forward out of the captivity that was sin. But by the grace of God go I!!!!

Father God, I feel like such a fortunate son in that any yoke I now carry, I carry because I still have more work to do to get rid of my old self. Each step I take on the path You designed for me grants me a freedom to do so without limitation or condition, other than we love You with all our hearts and souls and our fellow man. I do as best as I can Lord and always will be a work in progress. Thank You father for Your grace, mercy and love You show toward me every day with Your loving-kindness and open arms. I am Yours, You are mine, You are what You are!!! In Jesus name I praise and pray, AMEN!!!

Psalm 130:1-6 (NLT); 1 From the depths of despair, O LORD, I call for your help. 2 Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer. 3 LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? 4 But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. 5 I am counting on the LORD ; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. 6 I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.

We can expect God to forgive our iniquities, but can we expect the same from our fellow man? That depends on how we trust them and they trust us. Forgiveness is rooted in unconditional love, and to forgive without condition is hard for us as humans. We have too many emotions to overcome and a mind that likes to wander away from the heart. Maybe that is one of the reasons Jesus teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves, so we could forgive without condition?? I do not take lightly what Jesus did on the cross for my own forgiveness, as it led me on a straighter path to the Father. I feel safe, secure and at peace under the wing of Jesus and in the arms of my Father in Heaven. They forgive without expectation or condition, just as They love us without condition or expectation.

Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done and be done in me, on earth as it is in Heaven. John 6:11-14 (NLT); 11 Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted. 12 After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.” 13 So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves. 14 When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!”

My dad used to say a prayer quite often at mealtime and went, “Bread of Life, from day to day, be Thou art comfort, food and stay, AMEN”! I did not really understand what he was saying until restarting my faith journey and getting serious about improving my relationship with the Triune God. These passages from the feeding of 5000 illustrate what Jesus did for the people by coming to Him. Today is no different. He still feeds us, but He feeds us all when we come to Him, not just 5000. What my dad was trying to tell me with this prayer is that when we have Jesus in our hearts, we are constantly fed with and by Him – the Bread of Life and it is all we need to live as He lived, love as He loved and serve as He served. He sustains us!

Father in Heaven, Your Son is all we need to thrive in a world that seems to be upside down. We are fed and nourished by Him, refreshed by Him, reborn by Him, loved by Him, and most of all we are the vessel that contains Him and carries Him forward to those we encounter in life. He is all we need to get to You, our Creator, the Alpha and Omega and we learn all we can from Him and feed on His goodness, kindness, forgiveness, love and compassion for us. He is the Word of God, You in all Your splendor and magnificence. Without Your Son we are empty shells Father and for this we are eternally grateful and in Jesus name we praise, kneel and pray, AMEN!!!

Proverbs 8:22-26 (NLT); 22 “The LORD formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. 23 I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. 24 I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. 25 Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born— 26 before he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil.

Riddle for the day – what/who am I???
Divine wisdom was there all along as it is tied to the Truth and the Word. That is why it is so important that when God speaks, we need to listen intently. I have run into many people in my life I would call wise, but I did not hang on every word. Divine wisdom is the opposite – when God speaks I do listen intently to take it all in and let the Holy Spirit help me unpack it. Just like when I read His Word and I hope I do have “ears to hear” and my heart is open to receive, process, etch on my heart and adjust my course as needed. And we need to discern between standard worldly wisdom and divine wisdom to get to live our days in divine practicality – meaning we are flexible to bend and be shaped by Him, His Word, divine wisdom and the Spirit.

Father, my ears are open, my heart is open and the Holy Spirit is helping me to unpack and discern Your divine wisdom You project to me, in me and through me. It took a while Father to properly “hear” You, and I have come to the determination any wisdom that is not divine should be approached with caution.
I ask today Father that the guidance and direction from You via Jesus and the Holy Spirit continue to help our faith produce only the first-fruits – the best it can produce from Your wisdom, Truth and Word. We are the vine but You are the branch and we could do nothing without our Triune God by our side and in our hearts. We walk each day a blessed path, one that leads to You and the narrow gate. For that we are eternally humble and grateful and serve You as we are, Christ lovers and followers, AMEN!!!
