Matthew 11:10-15 (NLT); 10 John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way before you.’ 11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is! 12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it. 13 For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time. 14 And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come. 15 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!

Verse 12 stands out to me today. As Christians and children of God we are always under attack whether by people that are offended by us or by a spiritual attack from Satan and his minions. The good thing is we are equipped with all we need to rise above and be victorious in any conflict regardless of the outcome. Even when we do not win the battle, we still win the war, the spiritual war. Nobody or nothing can take away what God gives to us freely through grace and mercy. The only way is if we let them, if we do not walk hand-in-hand with Christ and the Holy Spirit with our Armor of God on and His Word at our side! I live in a higher state of awareness now and do not let evil or his minions, or anybody take the advantage. Go with God… if we truly live this daily we cannot be defeated, because He will not let us endure anything we cannot rise above.

Lord, You armed me for battle and I wholeheartedly accept any and all attributes and tools at my disposal to rise above. I carry Jesus so close that most evil does not even approach, but when it does, I am ready. Lord, help us to wield kingdom authority with self-confidence. Help us to know when to stand fast and when to defend our spiritual turf. Our home is where our heart is and with Jesus we are home anywhere, and will defend that home to rise above evil at all times. Thank You Lord for instilling in us a will to fight evil when it comes calling. We used to be afraid to face evil, now it is evil that should run from us because we have You, our Triune God and all of the tools the Spirit grants us. In Jesus mighty name we praise, pray and defend, AMEN!!!

1 John 4:12-16 (NLT); 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 13 And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. 14 Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

I really like this translation how it says, “if we love each other, God lives in us, and God is brought to full expression in us”. I have written numerous times about how ignorant I was of the Spirit and faith prior to my restarting my faith journey. One thing I also have to admit is that I never really understood what it meant to love and be loved until that point as well. My faith, the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God as well as my Christian family have taught me how to truly love without expectations. Love must be given freely without expecting anything in return. Just like when we serve, we serve because we want to, not because we are looking for payment as a result of serving. Our payment is in the ability to love and the feelings that are upon us when we do love without expectation. And, loving God without expectation is the true meaning of faith and is what it means to walk upright. We cannot be holy without loving God. We cannot be holy without loving our neighbor as ourselves. I think love is the foundation block for the Truth and for faith. Jesus was love incarnate and He showed us what the true meanings of love and compassion are. Faith = Love and Love = Faith!

Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done and be done in us, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For THINE IS the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever, AMEN!!!

Acts 17:27-31 (NLT); 27 “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. 28 For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ 29 And since this is true, we shouldn’t think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone. 30 “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. 31 For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”

Paul was preaching to a group in Athens and he said something that makes a lot of sense. Many people carry around idols with them because of their beliefs. I even wear a cross every day and never take it off. But, like Paul said, “We should not think of a God as an idol that was crafted with gold or silver”. God can never be an idol but can only be what He is, pure Spirit and pure Truth. I wear a cross for many reasons, but the main one is so I stay focused on Jesus all day long. Many times throughout the day I touch it, hold it, look at it and my mind and heart go straight to Jesus. We cannot craft Spirit, it is given to us through our faith by the grace and mercy of God purchased by the blood of Jesus. Idols are considered dead, but our God is a living God and we as believers and children of God have a co-existence with Him as we walk in faith. And, by doing so we glorify Him in all we think, say and do if it is done in the Spirit!

Father, we do not see You as an idol, but we see You as the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. You are Spirit and You live in each one of us followers/believers and we ask today that You help us to purify our faith so that no other idol comes in between You and us. Give us the strength of character to wear You on our sleeve and shine Your light through us on those around us. And, Father, give us a peace of mind and solace each and every day we walk with You. We ask this in the blessed name of Your Son Jesus Christ, AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!

Psalm 55:16-19 (NKJV); 16 As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. 17 Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. 18 He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me. 19 God will hear, and afflict them, Even He who abides from of old. Because they do not change, Therefore they do not fear God.

Each one of us children of God endure so many battles, hardships and face so many adversaries in our lives. But we do have a commonality we share in that God is with us. Verse 18 says, “Therefore they do not fear God” referring to our adversaries. I was just thinking of how the Lord and the Holy Spirit prepare us for battle, against Satan and against any foe or hardship. Like Jesus, we can overcome anything as long as we have God with us, His armor on, the Word in our hearts as our sword, and self confidence that the Holy Spirit endows us with. It is our adversaries that should fear us. And, once they know we are children of God, they lose their fight because they know they cannot beat us or even rise above us. God and His power are too much in us, and when we wield it, adversaries should fear us!!!

Lord, I ask for continued self-confidence today for us all who may be facing challenges, hardships or evil adversaries. Allow us to rise above in our hearts, minds and in our posture so we can glorify You before them, honor You, and show them mercy. Help us to find mercy and forgive our adversaries instead of cause harm from doing evil in return. Help us to show that when they see us, they will know they cannot win and we will not back down regardless of the strength, size or nature of the attack we face. We are Your soldiers carrying Your Word and will fight all comers and put evil under our heel where it belongs. In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus we praise, pray and rise up and defend, AMEN!!!

01.08.26 – Day 1855
Amos 3:3-8 (NLT); 3 Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction? 4 Does a lion ever roar in a thicket without first finding a victim? Does a young lion growl in its den without first catching its prey? 5 Does a bird ever get caught in a trap that has no bait? Does a trap spring shut when there’s nothing to catch? 6 When the ram’s horn blows a warning, shouldn’t the people be alarmed? Does disaster come to a city unless the LORD has planned it? 7 Indeed, the Sovereign LORD never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. 8 The lion has roared— so who isn’t frightened? The Sovereign LORD has spoken— so who can refuse to proclaim his message?

Amos was talking here about Israel. One of my sons asked me a question yesterday about if there were parts of the Bible that are not true? And in turn, are there parts not applicable to us? The answer to that is found in 2 Timothy 3:16 “all scripture is God-breathed” meaning God was there for all of its creation and development and is there for all and applicable to all. There are parts that are dated, but we have the Holy Spirit to help us discern, understand, and apply to us today, the Gentiles, the adopted ones. But Amos talks here about how the Truth is revealed to the servants of God and Jesus, and that includes when He acts and does something to us, in us and/or through us. We may not always know the reason why, but typically God reveals to us His works, and He reveals to all His glory by His works in us, His servants.

Father, when You reveal to us that is the milk in which we are nourished by. When we go to Your Truth and Your Word, that is the meat on the bones and our daily bread that sustains us as Your children. Father, I ask today that You reveal to us as You see fit, as Your will allows. Open our hearts, eyes and ears so we may see, hear and understand the Truth You leave at our feet. Help us lord to be courageous enough to bend and pick up the truth laid at our feet and apply it to our hearts where it belongs. Thank You father for the Truth, the revelations and all You do for us to make Your glory shine through us. In the mighty and blessed name of Jesus I praise and pray and I am listening, AMEN!!!

1 Timothy 1:11-14 (Passion Translation); 11 I have been commissioned to preach the wonderful news of the glory of the exalted God. 12 My heart spills over with thanks to God for the way he continually empowers me, and to our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, who found me trustworthy and who authorized me to be his partner in this ministry. 13 Mercy kissed me, even though I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor of believers, and a scorner of what turned out to be true. I was ignorant and didn’t know what I was doing. 14 I was flooded with such incredible grace, like a river overflowing its banks , until I was full of faith and love for Jesus, the Anointed One!

Timothy`s words are so powerful and sends us a message about the blessings that come to us from our faith in Jesus Christ: full and spilling heart, empowered, anointed, trustworthy, authorized, and full of faith and love for Jesus. There is one word that does not fit here or in our faith and that is ignorance. We cannot use ignorance as an excuse for not walking in faith. Ignorance is just a byproduct of when we fail or refuse to fully commit, do not read His Word daily, choose to remain in our tracks and stagnate/not grow, learn or do not commit to strengthen our relationship with Him. If we feel we are ignorant we know there is a lot of work to do, because then we know we are not fully in touch with the Holy Spirit! I choose the first part and leave ignorance in my wake. I choose to better myself, learn and grow in the Spirit and actually transform into who God designed me to be! Don`t waste a day in ignorance, fulfill your divine calling and love Him with all your heart and all your soul!

Lord, help us to see the real and true value of our faith. Help us to yearn for more of You and less of us. Help us to find any ignorance in us and kick it to the curb. Lord, give us the courage, strength and determination it takes to find the person in us whom Your Father designed us to be. Lord, strengthen us, bless us, keep us close to Your heart as we try to keep You close to ours. We ask this Lord in the mighty and loving name of Jesus, AMEN!!!

Matthew 4:1-4 (NKJV); 1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." 4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "

When God speaks… God can speak to us in a number of different ways: directly, in visions and dreams, revelations, God-winks, but mostly I found He speaks to me in His Word and in my surroundings. And it can be so subtle that if we do not pay close attention we may not “hear” Him. Sometimes in the silence when He speaks it becomes deafeningly loud and clear. All of our communication with God should be our daily nourishment, daily bread on which we will thrive. When we thrive on when He speaks, He finds favor with us and smiles down at us. He lets us know that we are on the right track or if we are way off base. The point I think Jesus and Matthew are making here is to not let anyone or anything come between you and God when He speaks, not even temptations. We wouldn`t want to miss anything that He has to say to us…

Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done and be done in me, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever, AMEN Jesus AMEN!!!

1 Peter 2:1-5 (NLT); 1 So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3 now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. 4 You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. 5 And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.

I never really considered myself as a living stone before, but Peter has a way to make us see and feel in what we belong to after we give our lives to Him. Many of my posts are centered around the life and ministry of Jesus as that is where my main focus is. I sometimes feel that I neglect the Father, then the words of John come to mind, “I am in the Father and the Father is in Me”. And, looking at what Peter said here, even though Jesus was the cornerstone, we all play a part to build God`s temple and kingdom. We are a special sort of family that goes beyond nepotism and bloodlines, but is definitely tied to blood, His blood He shed for us. So we are blood brothers and sisters all standing as building blocks for His kingdom. What a thought for today!!!

Father, I have always wanted to play a part in something that is bigger than me. And this part, helping to build Your kingdom is bigger than life itself. You have tied all of us believers together through the cross and the blood of Your Son and that was a huge sacrifice for You, of which I understand. Knowing this does not make me feel unworthy. On the contrary, knowing this makes me devote myself to serving You only the more. Knowing this makes me feel like I AM worthy and part of something extraordinary and supernatural. I thank You for finding value and worth in me Father and will always cherish Your Son! In Jesus name I praise and pray, AMEN!!!

Romans 8:7-11 (NLT); 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) 10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

We cannot make ourselves “right by God”, only Jesus can do that. That is why it is paramount in our faith that we walk 24/7 in Christ Jesus. And it is the Spirit that lives inside of us that does all the heavy lifting and work, we are just conduits for His majesty and glory. But that by no means allows to be able to sit back and rest on our laurels thinking if the Holy Spirit is working in me why should I work so hard in my faith – the Spirit does it all. When we think like that, that is when we know that our own carnal minds do not want to let go of control and we have not fully submitted to our Triune God. Our faith journey is a co-existence, meaning it takes both parties, the Triune God and us to learn and grow in faith, as well as work in the Word of God where we have to be vigilant every day. Submitting to Him is a continuous decision we make daily, hourly and even minute by minute, and our vision should be centered on Jesus Christ as our Lord with the Holy Spirit as navigator.

Lord I know everything revolves around You, the cross and the road to the Father. I love being a partner in Your ministry and do what I can to carry that forward every day. It is the Holy Spirit in me that has inspired me to be so vigilant and devoted to do what I do every day, and I am ever so grateful and thankful He is in me, You are in me, and with that, I know the road to the Father because I travel it daily. Thank You Jesus for giving us the opportunity to be one with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is truly a blessing and even though You are in control, we are partakers of the glory, awe and wonder that is Your ministry. Bless us and keep us Lord and in Your name Jesus we praise, honor You and praise, AMEN!!!

Psalm 20:1-9 (NLT); 1 In times of trouble, may the LORD answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm. 2 May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem. 3 May he remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. Interlude 4 May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. 5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers. 6 Now I know that the LORD rescues his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power. 7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD our God. 8 Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. 9 Give victory to our king, O LORD ! Answer our cry for help.

I boast in my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him I could not truly live. He is my go-to in any season and my doorway to the Father, my Creator. I spent so many years of my life never really fully trusting in Him or the Father and never really gave my life to Him completely. But, ever since I did, I now know what it means to live. Before I was only surviving, scraping my way through the jungle of pitfalls, navigating only to steer myself clear of one hazard into the arms of another. But now, with Him in my vision 24/7 I can breathe freely, navigating by the Holy Spirit, and rising above all negativity to find only goodness that comes with trying to walk as upright as I can. That is why praise is on my plate every day, He is my salvation and my life!

Dear Father in Heaven, You gave us Your only Son to be our salvation and He has saved those that see Him for what He truly is. Help us Father to only see Him as our Savior, Shepherd, Healer, Mentor and friend. Help us Father to always know He is with us and that He gave Himself so we could find the life You so graciously created for us. Thank You Father for this mighty gift of life, of Your Son and of our ability to have faith and hope in Him. In the heavenly name of Jesus we praise, kneel and pray, AMEN!!!
