This Pentecost Sunday, we explore the powerful question asked in Acts 2: “What must we do now?” Through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and Peter’s bold proclamation of Jesus Christ, we discover that Pentecost was never focused on an experience or merely an emotional moment, although the moment was certainly incredibly emotionally; the Day of Pentecost was about ordinary people being transformed, Spirit-empowered witnesses for Christ.
Together, we uncover the deeper biblical meaning of Pentecost, how God had been preparing this moment long before Acts 2, and how the Holy Spirit still empowers believers today to live with boldness, surrender, Christlike character, and faithful witness in a world desperate for truth. Jesus still reigns, the Spirit is still moving, and the invitation to respond to Christ still stands.
