In Ephesians 3, the Apostle Paul prays that the church would be strengthened in their inner being through the power of the Holy Spirit. He goes on to describe a love so vast that it stretches beyond our ability to fully comprehend it: a love that is high, deep, and wide.

Yet so often, we measure God's love by what is happening around us. We look at our circumstances and the broken pieces of our lives to determine how near God is or how much He cares. But spiritual formation begins when we discover that God's greatest work starts by transforming what is within us.

His love reaches into the deepest places of the human heart, meeting us in our weakness, challenging our assumptions, and forming the character of Christ within us. And as our roots grow deeper in Him, our lives begin to reach wider in love, faith, and purpose. This Sunday, we launch Deep & Wide, a new series exploring the foundations of spiritual formation and what it means to grow into the people God has called us to be.

Part 1: FAITH. Why does faith matter so deeply to God? How does it grow? And what happens when we learn to trust Him beyond what we can see? Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM at Knox Church, as we discover what it means to grow deep in Christ and live wide in His love.

These ladies are putting in the work! A good percentage of the women who gather for our Thursday night women’s group have signed up for the GWLL, two month fitness intensive. These four decided to plan a group workout session last night at POWER FITNESS. What a great way to connect and spend time outside of church. They are putting in the work and making progress. Let’s cheer all our women on as they commit to wholeistic growth in the Lord!

THIS IS LIFE: Have you ever wondered why, even when life seems to offer everything we need, something within us still longs for more? We can experience the beauty of creation, enjoy the gifts of family and friendship, pursue our dreams, and fill our days with meaningful activity, yet still find ourselves wrestling with an emptiness that the physical world cannot satisfy.

Perhaps it's because we were created for more than mere existence.

Scripture presents us with a sobering paradox: we can be physically alive and yet spiritually dead. As we navigate the brokenness of our world, our souls often give us glimpses of this reality. The restlessness, the longing, and the realization that some of life's deepest questions cannot be answered by what this world offers - points us toward something greater.

In Colossians 2:9–15, the Apostle Paul directs our attention to Jesus, revealing both the depth of our spiritual need and the extraordinary reality of what it means to be Alive in Christ. Through Him, we are not simply offered a better way to exist, but a new life rooted in the fullness of who He is and what He has accomplished for us.

They say there is always something to be thankful for. But when life is difficult, that can feel like a lot to ask.

Sometimes we hear those words and start searching for something, anything, we can point to and say, “I’m thankful for this.” We clench our teeth, straighten our shoulders, and try to force our hearts into a posture of gratitude. But gratitude was never meant to be forced.

Genuine gratitude is what happens when we encounter grace. When you experience grace, you see things differently. What you once overlooked becomes precious. What you thought you deserved becomes a gift. And what you receive has a way of moving through you and becoming something you give to others.

This Thanksgiving weekend at Knox Church, we’ll explore the beautiful connection between grace, gratitude, generosity and the ripple effect that begins when grace is received.

There really is always something to be thankful for. Perhaps you just need to experience grace to know it.

Imagine waking up and realizing that the place you're living isn't home. That's where God's people found themselves in Babylon. They had been carried away from everything familiar. Their homes were gone. Their routines were gone. They were strangers in a place they never intended to stay.

And yet, in the middle of it all, God spoke to them. He didn't tell them to simply wait for their real life to begin when they finally got home. He told them to build. Plant. Work. Raise families. Seek the good of the city. Live.

Those who are found in Christ know this world isn't their ultimate home. We are people headed toward eternity. But God has still placed us here. With people who carry intrinsic value. In this community. In this church. In the here and now!

This Sunday, we'll also begin taking another step forward as a church, moving deeper into our vision and introducing a framework designed to help us live it out together through His grace. Join us Sunday, October 4 at 10:30 AM for The Here and Now at Knox Church.

Hey Knox Church! Please help us welcome one of our very own; Hope Cobiere, to her co-op placement at the church! She will share time between Knox and U-Turn Ministries. Yesterday, she was hard at work putting the Sunday morning worship kits together!

At Knox Church this coming Sunday we are rolling out some new vision steps for our diverse, growing church family. After service we will gather together to enjoy food and fellowship. The morning kicks off at 10:30AM - 251 Duncan St, Wallaceburg.

THE TABLE TALK: PART 2

What made Jesus such a polarizing person? In the Gospels, it would seem that there were those who loved Him and others who hated Him, with very little in between. What made Jesus such a polarizing figure was that He was a truth teller. For those who knew Him, His truth was freeing. For those who opposed Him, His truth was offensive.

But one of the most offensive aspects of Jesus’ ministry wasn’t simply what He said, it was who He ate with. Jesus had a way of creating space at the table for people others had pushed to the margins. Tax collectors, sinners and outcasts found themselves welcomed into His presence. The religious leaders couldn't understand it. They had drawn their circles of acceptance, but Jesus kept crossing the boundaries they had created.

Perhaps that is part of what makes the table such a powerful picture of the heart of God. Too many view God as distant, rigid and waiting to condemn us. But when we look at Jesus, we see a God who moves toward people, creates space for them, and invites them to turn from a life of sin, experience His welcome, His freedom and His transforming power.
